The unit arrived in a surprisingly small box. I was surprised to see that everything was in there ready to be assembled. The whole thing is made of maple plywood with a shiny finish on it. It all looks great. It was very easy to put together. Where screws are going into the end ply, screw shields are used which hold the screw and don’t split the wood. The running surface is made of a nice indoor/outdoor rug with Velcro holding it down. The length was perfect. They even sent a piece of sandpaper to get rid of any high spots or sharp edges. The wheel runs smoothly and requires little effort to get rolling. It looks like it will work for years to come based on the design and construction of the unit.

High quality wheel and relatively easy to put together if you are handy. Bought this for our Siamese cat that is very high energy. He loves using it and he will run on it when he gets anxious or has energy to burn off. Feels very stable and secure and all the parts assembled together easily with two people.

Our cat has so much energy we needed to find a some sort of outlet. The wife saw an advertisement for the exercise wheel and after carefully searching we got one. So far she uses it at all times of the day / night. I did not find it hard to put together though the wood is light weight therefore I made sure to not strip the screws. The noise level when she’s on it varies from a low hum when walking or a slow run to a moderate rumble when running all out. The low hum does not wake us at nighttime. However the rumbling noise wakes me when she’s full out running. As far as the noise it makes is from the small wheels it sits on (the four wheels it sits on and the four guide wheels). If the company would invest in a smoother wheel I believe the noise level would be almost gone. I plan to look into a good roller skate wheel to see if it will help. The wobble is noticeable when she’s running but not to the point it causes the wheel to tumble over. Possible the light weight wood could be a contributing factor to the wobble. Some reviews pointed out the carpet having an odor. We took the carpet out before putting the wheel together sprayed it with an odor eliminating spray and vacuum it and since we have not noticed any odors. All in all I like the wheel and give it a 4 1/2 stars. I will attach the video of my wife working with our cat to familiarized with the wheel. And one video of her on it around 1 AM in the morning.

This cat wheel is well made and definitely worth the buy. My cats love this thing. The only thing I regret about the wheel, Is not buying one sooner. This came sooner then expected and easy to put together.

I actually got this for my “small” cat because he’s so full of energy and constantly so bored. Never thought the “large” cat would be interested. Well, small cat is not the least bit interested and large cat started using it on his own without any encouragement. He’ll do it with encouragement as well but likes to lay on it and just run a few minutes at a time on his own. He goes longer each time so hoping he’ll eventually go for longer and get some much needed exercise. As for the quality and build: it’s decent enough! There is a lot of “play” in the slots everything sits in so it can slowly be pulled to round, bit of a process but works fairly well in the end. It’s a bit difficult to keep the joints aligned to stay true though, even with the extra reinforcements at the joints… and the wood is soft and feels like it will crack trying to tighten things down more, so it’s not quite perfectly round. This plus the wheels that don’t spin the most freely means the whole thing is a bit stiff to run in. Ends up working well for the large boy but not sure the small one could get it spinning even if he was interested. Docking off a star for that, but all in all it feels nice and solid and heavy enough to hold up to running, is easy enough to assemble, not terribly loud (slight rumble and little hiss when a not quite joined piece rubs the sides), and seems to be a great value vs other wheels we’ve researched.

Facile da montare. Il nostro gatto lo usa tutti i giorni. Unica pecca essendo formato da varie sezioni di legno al passaggio sulle ruote di scorrimento risulta essere un po rumoroso, i vicini non ne saranno troppo contenti. C è comunque un blocco per poter impedire il rotolamento.

Le ruote per la versione grande sono un po piccole e fanno attrito, andranno bene sulla versione piccola, su quella grande andrebbero di diametro maggiore

Got this for my cat that was getting a little chunky, and he won’t run on it. My other cat thinks it’s the best sitting spot ever, and only runs on it when I use the laser pointer. It’s a hefty wooden wheel, wider than the onefastcat brand and is noisy when the wheel scrapes against the base. It’s not super loud, more like the level of a washer or dryer running, but if my cats used it at night it would definitely keep me up. I’d recommend it to give your cats extra stuff to do/places to play, but if you’re really banking on it for exercise I would say go with a automated laser toy or something else.
