I have been using this plucker of a few years now with no issues, we process around 200-300 birds per year. I have read other reviews of people having issues with it not turning on. One thing that I have found is that you need to clean the feathers out from the bottom of the drum every 2-3 birds. I only put one chicken in at a time and the drum needs to be spinning BEFORE putting the bird in. Following these steps I have had no issues and birds come out fairly clean with out getting too beat up/bruised.

Haley GREAT PRODUCT
ITEMS WORKS WELL FOR OUR INTENDED PURPOSE OF PROCESSING CORNISH CROSS ON OUR HOMESTEAD. THIS ITEM WOULD NOT WORK FOR TURKEYS. SEEMS TO BE BUILT WELL AND HAS NO ISSUES. WOULD RECOMMEND FOR THE HOMESTEADING COMMUNITY

Assembly was easy, plucker worked great last spring and held up well. Did 30 chickens without any issues. For the price, you can't beat it, would recommend.

Works excellent with 2 or 3 chicken at one time. Does ok with ducks. Leaves some feathers but not that big so a deal.
