OK - first of all and up-front: I haven't had a FLOOD to see if and how well these bags actually work, and I wasn't going to, say, flood my garage just to see if I could keep water from leaking out (lol). So as far as function goes, I really can't say. That being said, we're going into hurricane season, and if I get the chance to use these, I'll do so, reporting back and updating the review with whatever I find. So... the bags seem well-made, and are as-advertized? They're easy to deploy in a dry state - I can't say about wet, but I imagine they'll be heavy; I'm not sure how hard it would be to cut up to dispose of, or if that's a good idea in the first place. Since I haven't actually USED them, I can't say how well they adhere where you place them (i.e. how well the adhesive works), and I'll update with information if we get a hurricane this year. Basically, this is a placeholder. Nothing I'm telling you is useful per se at this point, but I'm optimistic, and at least the product looks easy as pie to deploy when needed!

These water-activated flood barriers are a practical and convenient alternative to traditional sandbags, especially for those looking for something easier to store and handle. One of the biggest advantages is how lightweight and compact they are before use. Unlike standard sandbags, which can be bulky and difficult to manage, these are easy to store without taking up much space or creating clutter. They’re also much easier to move around, making them a more accessible option for a wider range of users. The self-activating design is another strong point. Once exposed to water, they absorb and expand, eliminating the need to manually fill them. This makes them especially useful to keep on hand in a garage, vehicle, or storage area for quick deployment when needed. They’re also easy to share or distribute if neighbors or others need them in a pinch. That said, the same feature that makes them convenient also requires some planning. They do need time to absorb water and reach their full effectiveness, so they’re not an instant solution in situations where immediate barrier protection is required. For slower-developing scenarios or preventative use, they work well—but expectations should be set accordingly. Storage is also important for long-term reliability. Keeping them in a cool, dry place helps preserve the material and ensures they’ll perform properly when needed. Overall, these offer great value and are a smart, low-maintenance option for basic flood preparedness, offering a cleaner and more user-friendly alternative to traditional sandbags.

Didn’t hold up didn’t work it absorbed water, but it wasn’t reusable

Misleading product description led me to believe they are indefinitely reusable, however upon purchase it was revealed they are intended for single use. They do however absorb water quite well, could be good for emergency use, but for semi-permanent or permanent water issues I wouldn't recommend.

Don't buy from this company. They don't have a phone number to call customer service. They shipped the wrong product and for 3 weeks I've tried through their A1 to request a RMA label and obtain the correct product.

Très déçue, n’ont pas absorbé l’eau, absolument inefficace.

I haven't had a chance to try these so I have no idea whether or not they work. This company has been badgering me for weeks since I bought these to leave a review. There is no "unsubscribe" on the emails or any ways to MAKE THEM STOP COMING! So here's a completely useless review. I hope this stops the madness.

This is a review of the 'VEVOR Flood Barrier, 6 Pack, 2.7 x 1.4 ft Flood Bags Activated by Water, Water Absorbent Barrier, Sandless Sandbags Blockage, Flooding Prevention Bags for Home, Doorways, Basement, Garage.' A fair item in an emergency. Flood barrier bags sych as these are a stop-gap between real sandbags and using nothing. Living in the Northeast, we do get some heavy rains here; the occassional Nor'Easter can be a real problem. Having these barrier bags will help, probably. There are 6 bags in the set, but that can only provide so much of a barrier for a house. I have an area that tends to allow water to drip into my basement, not an ideal situation. Sand bags are usually reusable; I'm, not sure if these can be used more than once, and if so, just how effective would they be is an open question. But, something, however poor, is usually better than nothing. My verdict: 3 stars. Hoping it's actually better than that when I need to use them.

Tried one bag, gave it a good soaking, then left out on rain for 2+ hours sitting in standing water. The bag fell does not fully expand, certainly nothing like the photo, also it tends to climb in areas leaving parts of the bag unfilled, I doubt in a sting wind they would stay in place.
