Nice little unit for hobbies. Options for cutting tools and end stock tools would have been nice but can purchase separately online.

Overall it is a really nice machine, however; it does not come with the 10 mm bolts to fasten the bottom tray.

I needed a small lathe for my shop. The shipping was faster then i expected, And box it came in was well made to protect it, It was very easy to setup and once together there was very few things that needed to be adjusted, I have never used a lathe so learning as I go, There are lots of video's out there that help. Over all i am really happy with it, I now need to get a small vertical mill. I will be looking at what Vevor has and will wait till i see the one i want go on sale, I added a pic as i'm still setting up my little metal shop.

I bought this metal lathe after a lot of online research and reviews. It's a hobby machine for me and works well for that purpose. I've never machined metal before but I wanted to add to my wood-working hobby by playing around with shaped and polished, brass and aluminum. I am not machining to any precision, just shaping ornamental pieces and components. The ordering, communications and delivery from Vevor exceeded my expectations. The well-made crate was delivered on time and professionally. Everything that was ordered was in the crate and undamaged. Communications from Vevor was excellent. The machine itself met my expectations. It needed a lot of setting up and tuning. Things like disassembly, cleaning, reassembly, oiling, alignment and tightening of slides and gibs. All this was expected - it was a good experience to learn how the machine works. I was turning brass and aluminum in less than 2 days. Although the tool holder and brazed carbide cutting tools worked, my first purchase after the lathe was a Quick Change Tool Post and indexable carbide tools set. NOTE: the correct size for the QCTP is OXA and the tools themselves are 3/8 inch. I built a custom bench with tool storage for the lathe, the week after receiving it.

Very good quality

It's a good starting point to learn on, everything is fairly basic, but extras can be purchased on Amazon that fit this machine. The blades provided, are terrible so the first thing you want to do is buy yourself a nice replaceable carbide blade/tool

I’ve used the lathe a few times for simple fabrication/modification projects. I like it and it meets my needs.

Ok overall. Worth the price. Can only chuck material less than 1.5 inch. Need different chuck for larger material. Haven't looked into that yet.

Works well. However, a lot of components on the lathe are loose when you receive it, so it's definitely necessary to go through and tighten everything up before use. The belt is of low quality. I would recommend finding a better belt or using the lathe to make V-groove pulleys, allowing you to run a V-groove belt. The product description lists the tail stock as MT3, but it is not an MT3. It is an MT2. I emailed customer service and told them they need to change the description.
