Zeer goede prijs kwaliteit verhouding. Mijn kat maakt er veel gebruik van. De Catio staat in de tuin. Gelukkig slaapt en speelt mijn kat daar nu in plaats van ronddolen in andere tuinen waardoor hij in gevechten terecht kwam. Erg blij en een toegevoegde waarde.

I recently adopted a stray kitten who is about 3 months old, and this 3-tier cage has been perfect for keeping her separated from my resident cat. I use the bottom level for the litter box, the top for food and water, and the middle for her to move around and play. It fits nicely against the wall without taking up much space. I also like that I can take it apart and store it when I no longer need it. We have some similar cube storage shelves at home that are the same size, so I can even combine the pieces later for extra storage. That makes it especially useful for me. I was a little worried that it might not be sturdy enough, but after using it for a week, I’m completely comfortable with it. One little tip: I prefer using the small white clips to secure the doors instead of the metal rings shown in the instructions. The rings can leave a small gap, and my kitten could get her paw through it. I actually use the metal rings to hang a few small toys instead, which gives her something to play with. Overall, this has been a really practical and useful setup for us, especially with a new kitten.

We rehab feral cats, and work with a feral colony here. Sometimes, when we trap, we have to wait days before we can get an appt for TNR, and we have to keep the cats separated. But keeping them in little traps is incredibly hard on the cats, so it needs to be minimised. As such, these cages are LIFEsavers for us. The standard configuration works for older cats, but for little kittens, we modify the shape to be longer and shorter (two floors, with a longer base). It works out well for us. There's enough space for a small litterbox on the bottom floor, and you can adjust where you place doors to make for easier access to the cats (or food or bedding) on different floors. The floor 'tiles' don't close completely, so put pee pads or towels underneath. The door 'locks' are a bit finicky, so I'd recommend some small carabiner clip hooks as a replacement to make things easier. The metal is thin, but it's PLENTY strong enough for rowdy cats, especially if you follow the instructions and fortify the connections with cable ties and clips. Expect to have to take it apart to clean unless you can wheel it outside and hose down, but it's all plastic and metal, so hosing off outside is easy. They're not made for looks. If you're trying to find something for show, this isn't it. But these are TOP NOTCH recuperation cages for post-surgery, and incredibly good cages to keep the cats in for extended periods pre-surgery or if you need to separate them out. We recommend the use of 4-5 three-foot, one-inch wooden dowels to use as separators. You can slide them through the bars and block off sections of the cages while you're working to clean litterboxes or swap food out. Overall, we could not be MORE pleased at the quality and value given the cost. We're not some big organisation rolling in donations, so something inexpensive but workable is key, and these are absolutely brilliant. They take a little cursing to assemble, but they are definitely well designed for our needs.
