I must say that so far I have used German Ideal cutters professionally and they have proven to be consistently reliable for years (with minimal and proper maintenance), but for home use, I didn't want to invest that money for a less intense use, so I wanted to try this Vevor cutter, choosing it by analyzing its features, and I must say that at the moment it has not disappointed my expectations. Lightweight, sturdy, with a different cutting system compared to the Ideal, which uses a Solingen blade, we will see over time how valid it is. One point in favor of the Vevor is the completeness of guidelines and measurements engraved on the work surface, while the Ideal has fewer. The guide locking system is magnetic on the Vevor, and screw-based on the Ideal, which makes it less easily movable compared to the magnetic solution. The blade on the Vevor, spring-loaded, locks at the start of the stroke via a protrusion, while the Ideal does not have this feature, making it less safe, but at the same time, being heavier, it lifts less easily. In light of this, I consider this cutter to be valid, hoping it maintains its validity over time.
