I am using this cable for a dog run. I have about 250 ft of it staked to the ground on both ends with a pulley attached so the dog can run the length of it. I is laying in the grass and exposed to the elements. So far it is holding up very well and it has a very strong, 60 lb dog that pulls very hard. So frays or rust after a month and looks like it will last a long while.
