Better quality than dealers

Bought the heads for a Ford 289, good quality. The problem is that the mounting holes on the heads, for the power steering bracket and A/C bracket and the Alternator idler arm bracket are larger than OEM. I had to enlarge the holes on the P/S and A/C bracket. Same with the Alternator bracket. Spark plug holes are smaller than OEM. This is not a good fit.

I haven’t installed them yet, but they seem to be equal to OEM heads in everything that I can see

Great heads did a 650 hp build with these heads for a 6.4 power stroke and there still going strong after 2 yrs great product and killer price highly recommend just as good as the big name heads

They are well worth the money they are. Awesome you can't build For that. I've used several sets of these. Heads They work very well.

Worked better than I expected. If you’re planning on running this in a similar engine. Here’s what I did. When I receive the heads I thoroughly inspected. I compared the spring tension to the stock ones that I pulled off and the valve springs in these heads had stiffer Springs, also seemed pretty consistent across all of them. I got a felpro multi layer steel head gasket. New Chinese high tensile head bolts from eBay, Also didn’t realize that I couldn’t run the original rocker arms so I had to buy Chinese stainless roller rockers from Amazon, chromoly push rods and guide. The stock pedestal rockers won’t work as the threads on these heads are larger . No biggie, do the math to make sure you order the right push rod length. Verify with a marker on the valves and cycled the engine. I also did this when it was 30° outside.. so I’m gonna take the upper intake off and valve covers and re-torque everything in the spring. Anyways, it’s running good and pulls strong.

Its great for the price, and for a stock engine. But if for a modified engine it is a great starting point. Small modifications are needed. The castings are are a great starting point, the valves and springs are good enough for stock engine but not a performance one, plus runners need to be cleaned up at minimum or ported for performance eng. But it is still a good starting point

I loooove the heads my only issue is finding spark plugs for them. Only place had the plugs for these heads was Napa and they cost 140 for 8. The plugs are NGK 953594. Plugs need to have a 25mm reach.
