I have the 5 gallon cans and really liked the quality but thought it was a little heavy when fuller, so I got this 2.5 gallon thinking it would be easier to handle. It’s lighter for sure but because it shorter I’m having to tilt it higher to pour. And the spring on lid still very tight so it’s just an awkward angle to open lid, tilt can higher and then pour. Honestly it’s easier to use a half full 5 gallon can.

Good for the money

Tank is fine. The spring was too strong. I had to disable one side. The worst item was the gasket on the lid. It isn't gas proof and swollen to very large and fell off. I found a piece of gas proof rubber and made a replacement. If you are not handy this may be a dangerous item as gas fume leaks without a proper gasket.

I don't know what makes it a safety can but when you pull the lever to pour gas I got blasted in the face with gas spraying all over the place so not much of a safety can!

The can would be pretty good except that the lid's spring is unbelievably tight. It is very hard to keep it open when filling in or pouring fuel. It is heavy enough and then to keep the lid open is very tiring withing seconds. Moreover there's no mechanism to keep the lid open during filling or pouring, meaning that the lid needs to be held open with hand against a very stiff spring. Very poor design. Regretful purchase.

Disappointing Leaking and source of hazard instead if being proper considering the price

Welds on handle look like chicken poop or like cheap Chinese child labor.
