I have only been using this plotter for a few weeks, and am coming at this review from the perspective of someone who worked professionally in sign making around 20 years ago and am now getting into the hobby side of things. My first plotter was from a shadowy name-brand, as I'd read they were less locked down than the other craft brands, and I was never happy with the precision of the thing. Finally I got fed up when it was cutting ovals when circles were required and went looking elsewhere. This popped up in my recommendations and was on sale at the time for approximately CAD 150 less than the new version of that shadowy plotter I'd worked with before, but has double the cutting width! It was an easy purchase. So far, no regrets at all, but I do have some info and advice if anyone else is looking at this, because the questions I had are not at all clearly answered here. 1) Yes, this does automatic registration (ARMS), and print-and-cut jobs are very precise for me so far. None of the headaches of other systems, either. I printed my artwork, threw on an overlaminate, cut it and it just worked. 2) Manually setting the home position of this machine is a bit obtuse and the button says "offline" for some reason. But once you hit that it lets you move the toolhead and rollers, then hit the button in the middle to set that position as 0,0. 3) This uses the Roland-style 11.5mm blade holders, and good luck getting replacements directly from Vevor. Customer Service was... not superb when I asked where to purchase additional holders because I like the indexing on the one included. So don't lose it, but you can find non-indexed ones pretty much anywhere you'd expect. 4) As is typical in the sign world, the software you need to use (PC opinion, didn't bother looking at the Mac software that you need to subscribe to... because, ew) is rough around the edges but does the job. The help files are kind of sparse, but should walk you through the bulk of your requirements. Still can't figure out how to center something on the page, though! It does import all of the popular formats, though, so you can do the majority of the work elsewhere and just use this for cutting tasks. 4a) I haven't explored it yet, but it does appear that this uses standard commands, so other options (e.g. open-source tools) could probably be adapted to work with this machine, but you'd be in for a bunch of trial-and-error calibration. The build quality is pretty excellent from what I can tell. Lots of metal where metal should be, and a little plastic here and there for non-critical parts. If I had any concerns, it would be the plastic lever that raises and lowers the rollers, there's a bit more give there than I'd like to see and I have concerns that I'll be building my own when it finally decides to snap. So, basically on a few minor issues and nothing that would prevent me from buying another of these if this one eventually breaks down!

Der Plotter ist Spitze, hatte schon andere Modelle, aber die können hier nicht mithalten. Schön das nun SignMaster V5 ausgeliefert wird. Was mich allerdings an diesem Paket sehr stört, ist das sehr schlechte Viniyl in der Beigabe,das ist nur Frust ohne Ende. Bitter reduziert doch die Folien und gebt doch weniger aber qualitativ bessere Folien dazu. Diese Rollen gehören besser in den Müll. Das macht den Plotter nicht besser. Mit einer guten Rolle Vinyl 63cm, hätte ich mich mehr gefreut. Danke

The machine is great and meets my needs. It's well built and rugged and cuts accurately. My only complaint is the lack of instructions - what does "Automatic Edge Detection" do, how do you move the carriage etc? I discovered the latter by accident, I've no idea what edge detection is or why you would need it. I also discovered you have to load your material such that the knurled areas will grip it. If you don't, the material slips and it's game over. Now I've figured it out for my jobs, I am very happy with it. I use Autocad and import dxf files into the software. Easy to use. I don't mess with anything else because I don't need anything more. I used the Vevor website to ask for operating instructions but they sent what I told them I already had - overly complicated software download instructions and related stuff that come with the machine.

El plóter como tal es muy sencillo de usar y muy silencioso. El problema ha sido que aún en la mínima fuerza rompía el liner del vinilo. Me ha tocado ajustar excesivamente la cuchilla hacia dentro pero obviamente el borde del porta cuchillas hace marca porque roza con el material. Una pena porque me había hecho a la idea de comprar también el modelo de 60 cm.

Purchased in Feb 2026, I received this item broken with the carriage not on the track. Support sent me video how to take machine apart and repair it myself. Now 8mo later it’s turning on but the carriage is stuck running to the left. Machine doesn’t full boot up and resetting it doesn’t help either. I’ve only used it maybe twice where it worked and cut properly. But pretty much this machine has never worked. It took me months to get it to match up to the alignment paper, then months to get the pressure and speed right so it wouldn’t pull up the vinyl and now when I want to try again to cut a design, it’s doing this. This machine has been a big waste of time and money and has never worked consistently for me. It’s definitely not user friendly and at best, the design software is from the late 1990’s. I’ve had to use 2 other design softwares and research how to import it into the cutting software because it will only open its own software saved files…. Just buy the more popular and most purchased cutter and save your self the headache.

Après avoir travaillé , avec cette machine, qq mois (pas tous les jours) ,elle ne va plus , l écran reste blanc et je ne sais plus m en servir,j attend le service après vente vevor ,ils m un dit qu ils m envoyaient carte mère............

Loose nut fell out of the box when i took tje machine out, rattling loose part inside the machine ... STILL WAITING for a replacement, or at LEAST an answer ... after 3 days ... VEVOR ... hello ????

Après plusieurs semaine en ma possession j'ai toujours du mal à maitriser la machine. Un coup en français, un coup en anglais. Très compliqué. J'aurais dû prendre la concurrente plus cher.
