Makes lifting the hot tub cover so much easier, stores the hot tub cover so you don’t have to find a place to put it and then struggle to get it back on. Great product, easy to use and easy to install.

Kim Weerts Good unit but still needs work.
To begin with, as many have said the directions leave something to be desired. For me this was not an issue but for others who are not used to assembling items, it could be a problem for many others.
There is,however, a problem with the design of the fixed base. The aluminum nuts that are mounted to the base that allow the left and right base to mount with three bolts are not sufficiently strong. While lightly tightening one of the bolts, one of the aluminum nuts sheared off.. I have replaced it with a stainless steel lag bolt that went through the fixed base into the wood of the hot tub. I recommend that you make the mounting nuts of a more substantial size.
Other than the mounting nut problem, the unit works very well.

Vo*** Don’t tighten the bracket bolts too hard
The positive is that the hydraulic lift makes opening and closing really easy, once you figure out you need to push on the little lever.
The negative was it didn’t really show the best place to install it on the tub (how far from the top rim). I had it almost all assembled when I realized it was too close to the bottom of the tub lip to install the last two pieces on each side.
What was worse though was that half of the threaded inserts broke away from the bracket. I needed to remove them from the tub, and insert them through the back side of the holes to allow for me to bolt the outer brackets on. Which meant removing the initial bracket from the tub, again.
Overall, despite the issues, it think it seems pretty solid, and will be much better than the manual lifter I had before.

De*** Inner sleeve anchor bolts are weak
Went on well but bolt anchors for outer sleeve are weak and 2 let go so I needed to use longer bolts to go right in tub structure to make sure its solid. Would need better design.
