To all the people who say magnets aren't strong enough, its more than strong enough if used correctly the thicker the plate the more magnetic flux the harder the magnet "grabs" the thinner the plate the less it grabs. The thin plate gets saturated and cant hold any more flux.... It may not work for your purposes, but the 660lb magnet is absolutely strong. 1/4" plate is to thin, and i would never use a singular magnet to lift it, any bumping or jostling the singular magnet will likely let go. Use more than one, stay out from under it, use it correctly on correct thickness of material and it will absolutely do what it says. This goes for all magnets, small or large the strength depends on the thickness of steel attached to, hope this helps people.

We use these magnets for manhole cover removal. We have had similar magnets 4x the cost that operated no differently. Recommend this product

We've only tested this and it works fine so far. Once we install it and use it as intended, hopefully it will last.

Very strong

I was building a steel beam for a stilt house and was wondering how I was going to pick it up and get it into place. When I saw this I figured I would give it a try. The beam was about 15’ long made out of 2 2”x6” 1/4”wall structural steel tube welded together. It also had several 6”x4” 1/2” wall angle iron brackets welded on it. I locked the magnet on, ran a chain through the loop on the magnet and around the bucket on my excavator. As I began lift I honestly did not think it would work. Mad was I wrong, it worked perfectly. So glad I found this thing! Also works great for unloading steel plate. No more trying to kill myself. Simply lock the magnet on the top sheet and use the excavator to lift it right out of the bed of the truck. Definitely recommend this for heavy lifting of steel!

Lifted half a sheet of 1 inch plate. Worked great.
