Works as well as a Milwaukee but not as pricey have used it a lot fabing gates cutting angles and it cuts as true as my DeWalt with no problem am really happy with it thanks

I was looking specifically for a 240 volt portable band saw, rather than a battery powered one. Although I own a number of both Dewalt and Makita 18v tools, the price for a bare skin of either of these, was prohibitive for the amount of use I would likely get from it. 240 volt versions of portable band saws are not that common in Australia. The shipping was fast and professional, the packaging very good, the manual, very surprisingly, written in good English (considering country of origin, China) - presumably because this saw appears to be sold by Harbor Freight in the USA, and it appears that the manual may have been written for that market. I must confess to having low expectations in regards to quality, but am compelled to say, I was very pleasantly surprised. The unit is very well built and assembled, and looks and feels like a quality product. There were no obvious indications of cost cutting measures in the fit, finish or operating characteristics. Setup was very straightforward along with adjustment. The speed adjustment is great, the inclusion of an LED light, a welcome and unexpected addition. It is very easy to use. It cuts perfectly out of the box, after blade installation, something you can't normally say about a stationary 6x4 bandsaw for example. I don't see myself using a hand held hacksaw ever again. Given the very reasonable pricing, (under $190 AUD) you would probably forgive the manufacturer for cost cutting, by either not including a blade, or at least, cutting corners here by including a very cheap example. Again, I was very pleasantly surprised to note the inclusion of what appears to be a quality, M42, 10-14 TPI blade, which made short work of some of the mild steel sections I tested it on. I can't speak about the long term durability, but given the overall standard displayed in terms of fit, finish and use-ability, I suspect it may well last me a lifetime. In conclusion, it is not often a product greatly exceeds my expectations. This was one of those occasions.

Works alright! I cut a piece of pine and a piece of 1 inch steel water pipe and it produces a clean quick cut in both. It's heavy but that's the penalty for cheap. I'll need some spare blades, hoping for. Long life for the saw. Postage was reasonably quick and free.

A port-a-ban is a tool I used every day as a pipefitter. This is basically a Milwaukee tool for a third of the price. The quality and the fact that you can get a replacement blade at any hardware store. I’m happy with the deal

I was expecting to receive a saw that would cut sheet metal at best but this little saw surprised me. It's well build, sturdy and will eat through 1 inch steel bar in just seconds. Best of all it's small enough that I can store it under a workbench and out of the way when not in use.

This band saw cut through pieces of 1/2" thick 12L14 steel like butter. For the price, I wasn't expecting much; this saw is a really great value in my opinion. I will say it is not quiet; hearing protection required. The only thing I can say negative is the manual is terrible. If you've been around tools for a while, you can figure it out but there's no excuse for referencing diagrams by number when none of them are numbered. Lets talk about shipping time; I ordered it on Friday, it was delivered Saturday!

Bought this for cutting metal pieces. It works really well. Much better than my old noisy disc cut-off saw. More accurate too. Very happy with the purchase.

Arrived well packed, works fine great having a veritable speed. Does stall if not held while cutting.

Le colis a dû faire une chute lors du transport car le polystyrène de protection était cassé en plusieurs morceaux. J'ai retrouvé un crochet de maintien de plaque de protection de galet d'entrainement cassé. Je l'ai recollé à la colle cyanolite en espérant que ça ne casse pas lors de l'utilisation ou des futurs démontages pour changer la lame. Dès la première coupe je vois que l'angle n'est pas à 90°, et pas qu'un peu! Le seul réglage possible est le pivot de l'outil, qui est déjà en butée à 0°. J'ai été contraint d'usiner la découpe courbée de réglage d'angle de coupe pour que l'outil aille au delà de la limite 0°. Ça se fait facilement à la Dremel avec le papier de verre cylindrique, mais c'est toujours énervant de devoir modifier un équipement neuf. On voit rapidement où sont faites les économies pour proposer des prix aussi attractifs. La sortie du cordon secteur du côté à l'axe de pivot de l'outil n'est pas franchement pratique, mais ça se corrige avec deux colliers de serrage "tyrap" / "colson". Après ces quelques mésaventures, la coupe devient un réel plaisir. Nul besoin de forcer, le simple poids de l'outil suffit à effectuer une coupe propre. Pour le métal, penser à mettre un belle goutte d'huile de coupe périodiquement à l'endroit où passe la lame. Je reste satisfait par mon acquisition malgré les modifications/réparations préalables.
