A ladder was installed on the front of my 22.2' pontoon boat. I had to extend it out 6" to clear the steering cable. I used 2' of 2" square tube, bolted to the boat with ⅜ ss bolts, and mounted the ladder to the tubing. I topped it with a Trex decking board. A similar ladder from a high-end marine shop runs around $1200.00. See pictures of the start-to-finish install.

This ladder is very sturdy and secure to climb. It was a great addition to our pontoon. The previous ladder had a thin foot area and was difficult to climb. This one is very wide and much easier to climb. Well worth the money.

Its a ok ladder for the price. But don`t think that it is heavy duty.
It is too wide for the spot that it has to go, so I am in the procese of cutting it down 5" too fit my boat.
And then it might be ok. I am hoping that it doesn`t come apart on the steps, that are screwed in.
