This is my 2nd unit of this machine since I like the 1st one so much. Bought it to put with my portable set up. This welder welds aluminum amazingly. I sold my esab for this set up! Doesn’t have high freak but that’s ok, I do enough welding to know how to work around that. This machine has a lot of room for adjustment that you don’t even see on high end welders. May be confusing for people just learning. But it has normal tig that you can select so you don’t feel overwhelmed. But don’t be scared to play around with the settings to learn what they do, you can always set it back to normal. Highly recommended machine

i bought this welder being skeptical and not expecting much, but after using it i rarely break out my big miller tig machine. this thing is amazing.

Have been using it occasionally for one month and so far it have done the job perfectly. Lots of adjustments. I have never TIG-welded aluminium earlier but a few YouTube videos and a bit of fiddling with settings and it went very well. A pity that the foot pedal is digital. Alu-TIG would really benefit from an analog one and the welder seems to be prepared for one.

I tested the welder. I am not evaluating the cables and pliers, just the welder itself. I tested the Hot start, VRD, ARCForce functions. They all work. I also tested whether the welder has the Atistick function. It does and limits the short-circuit current to 10-12A. The actual welding current also corresponds to the set current. It works flawlessly on 6013 (R, RC) electrodes. With 7018 (B) electrodes, the arc goes out at low currents (4 *), without problems at higher currents. In most cases, this deficiency does not manifest itself in hobby practice. If it comes to welding thin sheets and profiles, it is possible to use 6013 electrodes. I did not test the load capacity. The need for 130-140A practically does not occur in hobby practice. 70-110 A is mostly used. Conclusion: for hobby use, this is a very good welder.

So this machine caught me off guard on how good it is! I have owned a esab 205 ac/dc machine for the last few yrs and it was not cheap by any means. The VEVOR machine has some really cool features from being able to switch which type of welding wave you want to use, never seen that feature before! Welds aluminum sooo much better than my esab and that’s why I bought that machine. This has become my main welder in my shop and plan on getting another one here shortly. Only down fall of this welder is it doesn’t have your typical ( hf ) tig. But the lift arc feature really isn’t that bad honestly. They update the machine to have that and it’s golden. If you’re thinking of getting it, don’t hesitate! I Plan on getting their mig welder and putting that through the test next

Purchased purely out of my curiosity as to how well a sub $100, 200A stick welder could work. Well, it’s lightweight, super easy to set up, and it just works. Weld quality was indistinguishable from what I can do with my yellow machine, but this thing costs less than a ground cable from any of the big brands. The leads are a bit short, but it’s so light that doesn’t matter in practice. I would highly this for students wanting to pad some beads, basic home & farm welding, and light field maintenance work.
