Seems to work good so far. Well constructed.

The positives: Assembly went smoothly and doggie door actually fits in a shorter profile door. It's also secure. We've reduced the amount of accidents our 3 dogs were having by like 95%, which is why we got it! On the down side, the doggie door is thin compared to the sliding glass door, and there was no included insulation or weather stripping for the sliding door to butt up against it.

The door arrived damage but after two hours I was able to fix it enough to get it to work. Three of the frame screws were broken out of the frame. I had to completely disassemble the frame and bend the screw holes back so that the screws would hold in and I finally got it to work. If I couldn't fix it I would've returned it. This was unacceptable and was a quality control issue, this did not happen in shipment. Other than that the door actually works really well and fits well with a couple of tweaks. It's a little more narrow than the sliding glass door track so I had to put in some weatherstripping to create a stable front to back fit. I bought some adhesive foam weatherstripping and also used that on the sliding glass door edge since the sliding glass door has a couple of screws in it and it would not make flush contact with the doggie door. Also, I'm using a dowel to keep the sliding glass door locked because the latch system that comes with this doggie door simply wouldn't work with my configuration. But after these two modifications, the door looks nice and works well and the dog loves it. Since this door was almost $100 less than some of the other brands, it's definitely a good deal, but be prepared to do some modifications for it to work properly for you. Also they really need to work on their quality control so they don't send out any more damaged ones.

A life saver. Easy install. In the colder months we definitely feel the cool air coming in. I am in a rental so can not make too many modifications to the set up. I am in southern CA so not to big a deal.

Perfect size for my American Akita, and easy to remove or install, in case you gotta get out of the house through that door.

Door is better quality than expected. Only prob is that our sliding patio door opens the opposite way, so once dog door is installed, our patio door opening is now half the size, but not the dog doors problem, guess that is our issue. Also have big opening between dog door & sliding screen door, so might move dog door to the other track to prevent this. Still trying to get our dog to go thru the flap to get onto the deck. She comes back into house through flap, just won’t go out to deck through flap.

Really pleased with this door. Only negative, the door sometimes atays open during severe wind storms

I need a doggie door, and this one worked, not thee best but it does its purpose.

This door is built better much than I expected it is a sturdy metal unit. It had a couple of flaws that could affect some people’s decision. The brackets that hold the top and bottom of the unit in the door tracks did not fit in the tracks of a pretty typical slider. I was able to modify it with a grinder. The weatherstripping is provided for one side, but since you will need to get some for the second side anyway, I would get enough for both - the stuff they give you isn’t great. The last is the latching system they provide is for the bottom of the door which is difficult for my elderly family members. I am still working on that fix. But overall I would still buy this again, the unit itself is very sound.
