This worked great out of the box. Actually really good quality and good quality fittings the pump is good. I have had it hold vacume for 5 days without loosing any.

Heavy pot and lid with thick silicon seals, easy to assemble. Clear instructions. Ive stabilized wood and make denim micarta so far. Couldn't be more pleased.

I have been pleased with my VEVOR vacuum kit. The pump reaches full negative pressure in the 5-gallon chamber quickly, and the stout glass lid and silicone seals perform well. I will eventually use my kit for epoxy degassing, vacuum chucking on my CNC, and with the addition of a few components, needle-vacuuming the microphone ports on my hearing aids!

The pump itself is fine and pulls a great vacuum once you get a seal. That is the problem and it's a big one. First, the steel pot seems really good but there are pinhole at all points where the handles are tacked on. After applying a lot of sealant it was possible to stop that leak. BUT this was after finally getting the top to seal. There are two types of seals provided and I tried every combination. I went to the internet and it said this s a problem with that unit. I finally put a thin film of Vaseline per suggestion on the rim and pressed down all over the lid perimeter with my full weight. It did eventually seal and, after the handle pinholes were fixed, pulled a great vacuum.. I use it for degassing resin and it works well once a seal is achieved but more than once, I have had to bypass the degass due to cure time. It could be so much better.

Horrible experience. It was my first purchase through vevor. The original postage estimate was 4 days. That's the reason I bought it. When I paid it extended to 7 days. That was still ok but I was moving house so it needed to be delivered before I left. I called couriers please. They are liars and wouldn't tell me the name of the depot so I could ask them to hold it and I could pick it up from there. The lady who took my call said you need to get vevor to redirect. Vevor refused to redirect it. I called couriers please again and asked for the couriers details. They said we can't tell you because of our privacy policy. I looked up there privacy policy and it actually said the opposite of what they were saying. It said they will be transparent in regards to your parcels position and status. So after being lied to I called back again and asked to make a complaint and then he called me a liar. He referred to the privacy policy which I had just read. So between vevors unwillingness to help and couriers please crap policies and useless call centre staff I have made the decision to never shop with these guys again.

I purchased this a few months ago and tested it and it ran fine. I used this for the first time to stabilise timber knife handles it ran hot (65 degrees) and noisy lasted 24 hours then tripped out, now it won’t run. Not happy
