Heavy duty,works great!

My expectations exceeded the intent of the Timber Claw Hook. I had the thought that I could connect to my John Deere 1025R at the bucket and I would be able to utilize the Timber Claw Hook as a grapple. The Timber Claw Hook was simple to connect to my bucket utilizing 1 3/4" chain. Once I pulled the Claw Hook over the logs I was planning on moving, I thought I could lower the hook, secure the log and off I would go. Wrong! I still find I have to get off the tractor, set the hooks and then lift/move. Once I get to the area I want to place the log, I have to lower the Timber Hook, get off the tractor and unset the hooks. Every so often I get lucky. Gravity allows the hook to open over the log, I lift, the hook sets and off I go. As for the product, strong, simple and not a wimpy piece of metal. If I needed another one, I would not hesitate to buy another.

Wow -this claw hook was a life saver! I cut down three 125-ft tall/3.5ft diameter redwoods and bucked them into 3,500 lb sections that I could lift with my 12,000lb excavator. The claw was amazing - it caught easily into the thick-barked logs, and never dropped one. I could remove it by hand when the load was off. It is built well of solid steel rod, and that was much appreciated as working with an excavator can be pretty rough service (yes, the bucket came down on it a bit, from time to time). I highly recommend this log handling tool.

Very well made claw hook that spins easily and can support anything I can get in its grasp. Works great with two people but easily positioned by one person as well. Once you drop it, it lets go, works great. Highly recommend if you don't have forks.
