I am a union electrician by trade, and I work daily with pipefitters and plumbers who use the battery powered RIDGID and Milwaukee Pro Press tools that cost $1000's of bucks. Which, for their trade and for pressing everyday, I 1000% agree that they need that. However I needed to do a hot water tank swap and one of them recommended this unit. Sadly he could not let me borrow his battery powered unit. but let me tell you, for 90ish bucks to have the ability to get a "pro" no pun intended. pro press fitting at home, and additionally to get the job done this fast without needing to sweat copper, or spend 10's of dollars on a single shark bite fitting. This thing is truly amazing. my dad bought some fittings and borrowed it for some plumbing work on his house and he almost did not give this back to me. if you are in need of a "here and there" pro press tool for 1/2''-1' copper or pex, this is a must have. You could absolutely us this daily as a professional plumber, it is build solid and like a tank with all metal construction, but the manual hand pumping for the hydraulics, and weight of the unit, I imagine would get old very fast? I personally would not want that wear and tear on my body long term like that.

Erst skeptisch gewesen bei dem Preis aber als ich mit der Zange gearbeitet habe war ich voll zufrieden. Bis jetzt ist alles dicht. Von mir eine klare Kaufempfehlung.

Für den Eigenbedarf war die Zange sehr hilfreich. Meine alte war defekt und die Zange wurde schnell geliefert und funktionierte top. Man müsste beim Edelstahlrohr zwar mit Schmackes drücken, aber das Pressbild überzeugte. Für viele Fittinge wäre es dann schon sportlich oder zeitaufwendiger. Alles in allem - top.

Der Artikel ist technisch weitergehend ok, lediglich nach Beenden des Pressvorganges hat man Schwierigkeiten, das Werkzeug vom Fitting zu lösen, da muss man nachhelfen. Die Bedienungsanleitung ist eine Katastrophe. Völlig unklar, für welche Fittings das Werkzeug geeignet ist. Mußte erst beim Importeur nachfragen, ob CU-Fittings ok sind, da gab es Widersprüche.

Die Hydraulikpresszange funktioniert prima und ist schon fast selbsterklärend. Sie sieht robust und wertig aus. Für Arbeiten über Kopf ist doch etwas schwer und drei Hände wären hilfreich, damit die Fittinge beim Pressen nicht herausrutschen. Auch ist der Presskopf doch etwas klobig, was die Arbeit in Ecken erschwert und in der Wand fast unmöglich macht. Aber die Pressungen sind sauber und ohne zu großen Kraftaufwand machbar. Klitzekleiner Mangel ist, dass eine Aussparung für die Backen zu wenig vorhanden ist, so dass immer ein Backenset eingebaut sein muss. Das führt in der Praxis zur Polonaise der Backen macht und hinterher die Backen erratisch verteilt sind. Durch das umfangreiche Backenset ist im Installationsbereich für EFHs fast alles abgedeckt. Für mich hat sich der Kauf schon am ersten Tag gelohnt.

I have pressed probably 15 joints over the past couple weeks, no leaks on any of them. It is heavy, and pressing it fully closed gets tough near the end, but at a fraction of the cost of the battery operated tools, its hard to argue. Handyman, not a serious plumber, so my needs are simple and seldom used. This saves me from soldering, which I like.

This tool works great, as a do it yourselfer it sure made my life easier. No more pcv pipe and weak glue joints, wish i had this tool 20 years ago. This tool is well worth the investment.
