This is a good piece of kit. You still need 3 hands and an extra finger to hold the crimpes while crimping, but that's hardly the tool's fault. It crimps well, and the included crimps are of decent quality. Have tried the tool on brand crimps, and that worked just fine as well.

I purchased this crumpet spring of 2026. I was building a deck and wanted to use cables between the post. This tool worked perfectly! It came with an assortment of crimp sizes so I can use it with electrical crimps too. This tool will be a go to for many projects in the future.

I bought this item to set ring terminals on a semi battery cable to install a disconnect because of a voltage draw draining the batteries. It worked great and made easy work of crimping the terminals. If it had slightly longer handles it would be perfect.

I'm happy with the product

I purchased the manual 'long handled' cable crimpers quite some time ago. They work great, but somewhat awkward to use. I saw these hydraulic crimpers everywhere on the net, but the information on their use/purpose was very difficult to interpret. I really wasn't looking for/needing a crimper for electrical lugs, I wanted a more convenient crimper for steel cable. I finally felt confident enough to try this unit. I just used it yesterday for the first time, but not for 'cable' crimping. I have a backhoe with a hand throttle to set idle when digging. The cable ended up slipping out of the factory crimp at the end. I thought of several 'back yard' fixes or buying a factory ???? cable and fishing it through the chassis. With this crimper, I was able to use a 'die' that wasn't even the largest die to re-due the crimp and completely repair the cable to a 'factory look' and function. This 1 job has more than paid for this tool. The only 'issue' I had when I first received the tool was that it didn't seem to be 'pumping'. I thought it was going to be the first item I was ever going to have to return to Vevor. After continuously 'playing' with the unit, I guess it finally primed itself. It is working perfectly. The only other downside is that the manual is pretty vague to put it mildly. I don't need to yet, but I have no clue how to remove the 'plug' when I am going to have to ad or change the oil. The manual doesn't even tell you how to access the 'oil reservoir'.
