Everything seems to run smoothly. I am happy except for how quickly the rubber drive rollers become dusty and fail to pull the material through the cutters. There is no mention of how to properly clean them. I found myself having to raise the cutting head as far as it will go and found I can only wipe the exposed rubber part with a damp cloth. It is impossible to turn the roller by hand. Using power involves plugging it in and giving it a burst of power, then hoping the roller stops in an appropriate place. USE caution, the cutters are very close to the rollers. I cut myself quite badly the first time I cleaned them. My old planer, a Delta, never required having the rollers cleaned in 15 years. I have had to do the Vevor twice in a month

I am not the most experienced planer in the world by any stretch of the imagination but I have used a few different planers and so far (2 months) this bad boy is really good, especially for the price. This is my review https://youtu.be/G8FK2uvD3wo?si=2-EH1OhfWqJJ3ZnW

Haven’t got to use it yet but I am positive it’s going to work great

Meget bra

Was looking at used planers locally and found this one for a similar price as used, like the features of the 13” size Vs others at 12 or 12.5” and the two speed feed. I have been using to turn 2x12x12’ pine into dimensional lumber for a wall book shelf, has been working good, but a bit of sniping at the start. Would like to see a locking mechanism added, as some say this feature helps prevent sniping. And metal side panels instead of plastic as other brands have. Dust collector works well. So far satisfied with purchase.

The planer itself is outstanding. The problem? If you have an unseen nail or staple in your wood and you nick a tooth on the blades, THERE IS NO SET OF REPLACEMENT BLADES AVAILABLE. On contacting Vevor customer service (a somewhat clunky and slow process), I was told I was out of luck. So consider this when purchasing; a planer with no replacement blades available is more or less a disposable item. Otherwise, it works fine.
