There planer works as expected. Paid more for it to come with a stand. The stand came with 3 legs instead of 4. Went to customer service, they sent several emails stating they were looking into it and then they just closed the complaint. Have not heard from them about the missing leg for the stand. Gave them a 3 as their customer service sucks.

it does a decent job, after about 3 days of using it, it needed new blades. There is no place where it can show you how to replace the cutting blades. I found other planners that give you detailed steps on how to do it. Its been month and it's just sitting in the small shop because of the blades.

Unit is cost effective however cheaply built. Tools that are supplied with it (open end wrenches and Allen wrench) are sub-par soft metal and distort upon first use to loosen bolts. Platform raising gears are soft aluminum and do not interlock well causing the platform to become un-level within a few turns. Crank handle has no locking feature and vibrates loose (upwards travel for the planer) and causes uneven planes surfaces. Would not recommend even for a hobbyist.
