I knew my fan motor was going so I bought this in advance. Was -33C last night and woke up to a house at 15C. Blower motor gave in. Took me a couple hours to install in my Armstrong Tech 80 furnace circa 2002. I connected the Blue and Black speed wires the same as the old motor and it seemed noisy (no grinding just airflow noise). I checked the wire color coding and the old furnace used blue for medium low (heat) and black for hi speed (cooling). This motor had blue as medium high speed not medium low so the fan was ruunning too fast. I changed the blue to the red wire (medium low) and it was running at the cotrect speed. The excess airflow noise was gone. CHECK THOSE WIRE COLORS ! This probaby explains the noise some people speak of. Remember that guys doing furnace work are not top shelf. The "pros" are not all good at their jobs. I used the old motor bracket so no drilling like other people describe. Be careful to not dislidge the balance clips on the blower wheel when cleaning it with a toothbrush in the sink. If ypu lose one it will be out of balance. Cleaning with a toothbrush moved a couple so I pushed the back where they were (the shiny area under the clip where it was clean). The 1/2" shaft is a lot longer than the old one but did not cause any interference in my furnace. You could cut it off if you had to. Very pleased with the price and overal value. Was 1/4 the price of the motor supplier in this one horse town. They were rude too. I like that it comes with a new 5 mfd running cap. It was a different shape (round) but the pipe strap type bracket was easy to bend. Nice and warm in here now.

Fixed my 1991 carrier air handler saved me from spending $1,500 from local HVAC company, loosed up installation instructions on youtube and completed repair in 2 hours. Shipping took 3 days total, and now my blower motor runs stronger and faster than before happy i got this replacement compared to brand name.

Best motor for the price. Highly recommend fits multiple things and can change rotation. My furnace motor gave up order this motor online and arrived quickly. Came with all the parts I needed to mounts. : fits Keepright furnace.

Very easy install with the universal mounting. It replaced A 3 speed motor with bushings. The wires were all color coded the same as the original so one wire was not used. It appears to be a good quality product with ball bearings at less than 1/2 of the cost of the furnace manufacturers replacement. Only installed 3 weeks ago, but very good so far.

Worked great after I got it bracketed in. Had to make new holes to fasten it in.
