I bought this VEVOR 3-ton floor jack to replace an old, leaky unit, and it has quickly become my go-to tool for oil changes and brake jobs. I needed a jack that could slide under my daily driver (a sedan) but still had enough reach to lift the family crossover, and this hits the sweet spot perfectly. Key Features & Performance: Versatile Lift Range: This is the biggest selling point for me. It starts very low (about 5.1 inches), so it clears the side skirts of my car easily. However, it pumps up to nearly 20 inches (19.7"), which provides plenty of room to work under taller vehicles. It’s rare to find a budget-friendly jack that handles both extremes this well. Solid Steel Construction: Unlike some of the lightweight aluminum racing jacks I’ve looked at, this unit is built from heavy-duty steel. It’s heavy, but that weight translates to stability. When the car is in the air, the jack feels planted and secure, not tippy. Smooth Hydraulics: The single-piston pump action is smooth and consistent. While it might take a couple more pumps than a dual-piston "rapid pump" model to reach full height, the effort required is minimal. More importantly, the release valve offers great control—you can lower the vehicle slowly and gently rather than dropping it suddenly. Overall decent jack. Bought to do work to my truck. Set up was easy, lifted well. I find the jack seems to loosen the lowering nut too easy. This lead to more effort while lifting the truck
