I purchased this VEVOR vacuum investing and casting machine for the GemStars Jewelry manufacturing workshop. The machine arrived well packaged and includes the vacuum pump, bell jar, pressure gauge, casting chamber, and accessories needed to begin setting up the jewelry-casting process. The machine feels sturdy, the controls are straightforward, and its compact size works well for a small jewelry-production workspace. I plan to use it for investment preparation and vacuum casting of custom rings, pendants, and other jewelry pieces. So far, I’m pleased with the equipment and the value it provides. I’ll have a better understanding of its long-term performance after completing more casting cycles, but the initial setup and build quality have made a good first impression.

This is a great machine comparable to the Kara-Kast. All machining is spot on and shipping from the other coast was fast. Well packaged in an easy to open crate. Shows a lot of pride in the finished goods. The machine started right up. Some key notes: 1. They actually test these units because it has a small amount of oil left from when they drained it for test. 2. Shipping was careful but some oil did get into the pump so the unit will put out oil vapor until well worn in. Don't panic! 3. On mine, the power light is on whether the power switch is on or off but the unt does turn off. I will be checking mine for a wiring misload or fixing this minor issue myself. 4. Watch the Youtube Videos on these clones. I did and I still messed up, but no harm done. The vacuum release, releases vacuum from one or the other sides, either the bell jar side or the flask side, depending on what operation you are working on. I had my Bell Jar on while testing the flask side and when I set the toggle valve to "Vacuum Release", both sides held firm as there was nowhere for the vacuum to release to open air. BTW, They didn't go cheap on the pump. This thing boils water like nobody's business! You have to have one side open or the other so unless your actually degassing, stow away the bell jar when not in use so you don't forget when casting. This is a minor detail so if you forget, don't panic. You can pull up on the sprue base on the casting side if your using it on top for test and that will release the vacuum so you can shut the pump off. My family has been in the Lost Wax Casting business since 1921 when my Great Uncle Ben brought the family over from Poland to setup his factory in San Francisco. The brothers introduced me to the trade and various forms of equipment including Vacuum. The Vever machine is top notch and a lot of work goes into these, especially the machined plates, great deal for around $500 and change and shipping on this 80 pound crate was free to Oregon. Will do all my business with Vever. 5. Mine did not come with pump oil as per current YOutube reviews, possibly because of leaking during shipping. You can buy a quart of Vacuum oil in advance like I did from Harbor Freight, around $8. This will last you through the initial filling and one change out after 6 months or 30 hours of use. 6. They really improved these clones, giving you and oil fill at the top of the unit, and even an easy to use oil drain plug in a pocket under the unit. To change the oil out, you will need to lift the unit onto some 2x4 or something to put a pan under it. Great design upgrades! Randy, Victorian Supply and Novelty

The machine works well and does everything it’s more expensive branded counterparts do. We’ll see about longevity though. I don’t understand why but this thing smokes like a freight train while running. Not just a little, it’ll fog the room. Maybe mine is defective?

Was disappointed that the website shows a picture of the machine & accessories including a graphite crucible. However it came with a ceramic crucible which needs to be seasoned before using. The word graphite is taped out in the manual. It seems deceptive and was disappointing.
