I have a Rhode pottery wheel and love it but it's a bit of a pain to fully clean if I want to switch from stoneware to earthenware. My Rhode is wonderful and I'm very happy with it but it cost nearly €2,500. I thought I'd give this Vevor wheel a try after watching some YouTube videos and I'm completely impressed. It cost less than the stool that came with the Rhode. Pros: - It's powerful, it doesn't slow down even when centring 5kg+ of terracotta clay. Top speed is as fast as I'd ever use. - It's very easy to clean, the splash tray is solid, secure and doesn't leak at all. Easy to remove and wash down too. - It came with about €25 worth of turning tools. - Could be a con, but it's quite small and needs propping up to be at a comfortable height (I use an old half pallet) -- does mean it's very easy to store out of the way when it's not in use. Cons: - It can be fiddly to set slower speeds. I got the foot pedal but have attached a small stick to the side so I can more precisely control it with my hand. I'd probably for that option from the factory if I was buying again. This only matters when I want a very slow speed for cleaning up the surface with a rib, it can take a little focus to get just the right adjustment on the pedal. For me, a very small inconvenience for such a good wheel. - Not significant but you can see where money was saved, the welds are a bit ugly and the paint job on the body is a little uneven -- I don't know why I'd ever care about that though. Would recommend, particularly if starting out. Use the money you save on a wheel to get a second-hand kiln!

Nice, nice, nice, what ever to say. This device works as I expected, is it cheap and solid build, please do not create your hobbies in the kitchen :) best place is outside, where you can do dirty, mess and whatever. I recommend it

L'appareil est plutôt de bonne facture et les pièces en plastique sont robustes. La pédale de régulation de la vitesse est pratique.

I have been so pleasantly surprised by this wheel. Having used various professional wheels over the years I was a little hesitant with this purchase, however given the price, I thought it was worth a shot! It has surpassed my expectations, and to be honest, I have actually shown some of my best pots on it so far! I never throw large pots - soup bowls that kind of thing, and for this it has been wonderful! We run an art residency and this is going to be a perfect addition to the ceramics workshop! For the money, this pottery wheel excels!

Certains commentaires me faisaient douter du tour de 350W avec lequel on a du mal à travailler au-delà d'1 kg d'argile; mais là je suis surpris par la puissance du 450W. La description assure un tournage jusqu'à 8 kg, je ne sais pas, c'est un peu trop difficile pour moi. Je tourne souvent jusqu'à 4 kg d'argile et l'appareil assure facilement l'énergie nécessaire pour centrer. Le levier (variateur) est très sensible et on peut vraiment tourner au ralenti. Le fait qu'il soit léger permet de le déplacer facilement mais je ne peux pas lancer les 4 kg d'argile sur la girelle, par peur de le "casser". L'écran splash (garde-boue) n'est pas fixé et bouge dans tous les sens, mais il s'enlève aisément pour le nettoyer, très pratique. Il faut juste trouver de quoi le fixer si on veut. Le système pour faire tenir les rondeaux est intéressant car on les installe et on les enlève facilement, mais il faut faire attention en tournant de ne pas trop tirer vers le haut, par crainte qu'ils ne se soulèvent. On peut faire tourner la girelle dans un sens ou dans l'autre d'un seul "clic" . J'ai fait un support pour qu'il soit plus haut par rapport à une chaise, sinon il faut un petit tabouret 30/35 cm de haut. Vu le prix je recommande cet appareil, j'en suis très satisfait.

I am using this machine for months now and it is very beginner friendly. I love it. Delivery and packaging was great. I am only slightly disappointed that my machine was delivered without the tools that were promised. Besides that everything is great. I am almost certain I will buy another one so I can have friends over and both have a machine.
