First off, I have +20yrs of extensive locating experience with Radiodetection PDL2, PDL4, RD 7000/8000, etc. I can say with confidence that the item I received will not locate anything in the digital mode. The test I performed was to lay a 50' wire on the ground and connect red wire to the wire and black wire to provided ground probe that was pushed into the ground. I also tried the same configuration with the far end of the conductor grounded (which is locating 101 which is not mentioned in the manual). In digital mode, there was no change in signal received in either configuration no matter how close or far the receiver was to the conductor or how low or high the transmitter or receiver were set. Analog mode worked as described by emitting signal when receiver was w/in a few inches of conductor, but I need to locate wire at the advertised range of 6.5'. This is useless for me. Interesting note: manual says digital is high frequency and analog is low frequency. I checked the frequencies with my Fluke meter and both were about the same at approx. 1150hz.

Go the one with supposed depth rang of 6ft. I had to dig down with in about a foot of the wire before it would pick it up. VEVOR better do some more checking into this product before continuing to put their name on it.

Must have got a bad one because it just beeps regardless of settings if I'm within 100 feet of the transmitter. I've tried many combinations of wires on AC feeds, cat6 cable, even rg cable. Also tried gloves and rubber boots. Not sure if the positive reviews are AI or if somethings wrong with mine, but it is uselss and is going back.

This does have clear instructions on it operation. What instructions there were supplied were confusing. I got readings when no wire was present & also when it was present. Getting a refund was complicated & frustrating.

This is a POS. In digital mode it detects signal everywhere and is impossible to trace a wire, in analog mode it will not detect a signal 1 foot from the transmitter. Do NOT buy this. Spend the money and get a good one or rent one.

I purchased this product with the expectation that it would perform as advertised—detecting underground cables up to 6.5 feet deep. Unfortunately, it did not locate a single cable. Instead, the device emitted a constant beeping sound without providing any useful feedback or indication of cable location. Given its high price point, I expected a reliable and functional tool, but this product fell far short of those expectations. In my experience, it did not deliver on its claims, making it both ineffective and not worth the investment.

Don't buy this, it doesn't work. It is just a bag of hastle and frustration. And to top it off, Vevor makes returns extremely difficult. Buyer beware.

This underground line tracer did not work out of the box. I could not get a signal to the receiver even when the transmitter had the leads directly on it. I contacted Vevor customer service sent a video of the issue and Vevor would not stand behind the product. I didn't even want money back just a replacement. Very unsatisfied with Vevor. Most of my purchases have worked better than expected. Now I will second guess my purchases in the future.

Tried it out, did not seem to have any range.
