I could not get it to work. The sensitivity adjustment on the receiver appears to be defective as the signal strength LED bar remains constantly illuminated regardless of any other settings on the transmitter or receiver. Customer service did not respond to either of two trouble tickets entered from the website.

The thing does more beeping than actually finding something. My unit clearly had something wrong in trying to function, espeically in digital mode.

I bought this to trace an underground power line that was cut somewhere. The first one that I received worked for a while. Then it malfunctioned. Not in the sense of being dead, but it received signals when it was too far away when it shouldn't. Vevor offered me an exchange, and I took it. The second one worked somewhat better, and I was able to trace the wire. You get what you pay for, and the designers seem to have sacrificed some necessary features for cost. It seems more of a laziness in design since a lot of function can be placed on chips these days. So I am rating this just above junk.

First of all, it does work. In Analog and Digital. But it is way far from precise. Watch the YouTube videos and you'll see what I mean. The signal depth if 36" was fine to a certain point. But I would have been satisfied with a side-to-side (left to right) signal span of 12". But the side-to-side signal span would sound off at a 6 ft span. I'm passed my 30 day return date, so I guess I'll have to eat it. I recommend buying another brand.

I could not get it to work, I tried every thing I knew to do,I am very familiar with locators and this one just wouldn't perform velvor refunded my money for purchase they stood behind their warranty i would recommend vevor for future purchases as they stand behind what they say.

I don't know if it would do what I wanted it for as the wires I was searching for ended up being deeper than the three feet this reads it is good for. they ended up being about 5 feet down.

Tool works good, but thier shipping is slow and customer service will do nothing to help only keep reciting company policies that are extremely different then the shipping they advertise! If you need it fast, ORDER FROM SOMEONE ELSE!

using the product testing in all modes (specified in the manual) it did not detect anything besides the NCV. in one wire mode in max sensitivity it did detect wire over dry wall. in all the other modes, it detected the transmitter wen it was almost touching it, sometimes does not detect the end of the probe attached to the transmitter. it is too expensive to use an NCV detector, nice package that does not do much. for the 2 wire connection, there are products by Milwaukee, Kline tools that cost less and detect the breaker. also there is toner for low voltage (transmitter and receiver) that do more than this product. NOT RECOMMENDED
