It's not actually a 2x28in belt. It's a 2x27in belt. The motor gets noticeable hot to the touch. Other than that it works ok. The one feature and benefit that is mentioned is that the motor has a built in soft start that will help with the longevity of the motor.

ro*** Only good for very small jobs
Bought this unit a few weeks a go, it's rather on the small side but it works.
With in 2 days it stopped working. One of the wires piped off the power switch. Re soldered the wire and it works perfectly.
Perfect for very small jobs, motor not very powerful

Fredgear Much like To Weak
No, it’s so weak and flimsy that it’s just not worth it. I spent a lot of time and effort to make it more rigid. I 3-D printed parts. I tried to dial in the accuracy of the belt to stay centered and after a lot of work that was successful. But the older just doesn’t cut it. It doesn’t have enough power to do anything worthwhile.

Sid Dead on arrival
Bought it for a project just to realize it doesn’t work. Upon inspection noticing a red wire hanging lose and trying to hold it against the joint which seem like the place it was supposed to be connected to, does do anything either. Very disappointing to be dealing with this in the middle of a time critical project.
