DIY / home renovation guy here. Have been sweating pipe or doing pex for a bit, but wanted to get into pro press as it's easier and faster in some aspects, when running new plumbing, upgrading lines/valves, or installing water heater. This tool works great. So far have used it to replace all the water valves under sinks in my house and install a new water heater. Have only used the 1/2" and 3/4" jaws but I'm sure when needed the 1" will perform equally as well. Unit is not too heavy. Great value that this package includes the carrying case, 2 batteries, charger, and everything you need to get going right out of the box. To speed up the install process I recommend purchasing a battery powered pipe cutter (IE Milwaukee or Dewalt). Really speeds up the process. Overall, very happy with this tool, it's great for the price/value vs. purchasing Milwaukee, Ridgid or other brands which costs thousands. This machine will change everything, it's great and does a good job - the great thing is that it fits 18v Makita batteries

Haven’t got much use out of this yet but have used a couple times putting on caps, rerouting baseboard heating and when we found a water line tied in between the street shut off and house shut off and had to put a cap on live and so far no leaks. Thing definitely got wet during the live cap but no issues with tool afterwards so it’s durable enough. Don’t know how long it would last doing that kind of thing repetitively but our Milwaukee pipe cutter crapped out on us after this live fix from getting wet so there’s that.

This was an amazing investment. Replaced a PRV with it so far. It is very quiet & smooth - the videos online make it sound much louder than it is. Pressed this Watts PRV with no leaks, after prepping the pipes with a red scotch brite pad. Can’t wait to knock out some more jobs with my SL-1930.

I was very hesitant to get this specific $500+ instead of the more expensive brushless primarily because this one it's only 19KN of force, and from 1-2 inches of pipe that I really don't use only for residential under 1 inch was enough, still way cheaper than any other name brand, anywho I decided to pull the plug on the SL-1930 and just did my first ever job using NIBCO fittings and was very impressed how easy, fast and light this tool is, No complaints at all but would love to get a bigger battery. I recommend this tool 100% it made my job easy and super fast with absolutely no leaks in my first time ever.

Solid pro press tool. Comparable with ips-p jaws (mega press) Works great! Used it on 2” , 1-1/4, 1”, 1/2 copper so far. No problems Jaws work! Everyone says it’s heavy, it’s the same weight as others. Man up.

Bought it and used it for a couple jobs no leaks so far pretty good price compared to rigid and Milwaukee and you can you their jaws on it for a 1/4 of the price you can’t complain
