Holds well to metal. Cut clean holes with no wable . Would buy again. Recommend to buy.

Got it on sale and was skeptical on it.. but man. i don't regret it at all. I used this way more than a drill press

I have always wanted one of these but they were always out of my price range. If you drill holes in heavy steel don’t waste any time ready the rest of this just order one! I have used this with great success drilling a bunch of holes. The steel needs to be pretty thick to work well with the magnet. The work surface also has to be large enough to have good contact with the base. I worked around these problems when I was working on some thinner(3/16) 2x3angle by taking a 6” bar that was 1/2”thick and setting 2 pices of angle on top of to. That allowed the magnet to sit flat on the 2 pieces of angle while getting plenty of steel hold onto from the angle and the bar. Even did a pretty good job on some small milling projects. Probably shouldn’t try building a spaceship with it but trucks and toys it’s plenty good for. Can’t beat it for the price!

i'm impressed it's well made. opened up the housing and found no metal shavings inside but i changed the grease anyways. you could just use it as is out of the box.

Purchased to drill holes in i beams and steel plate for a volenteer project. Drilled 120 1/2" holes witn no issue. Wore out one bit. Works great for the money.

Great to use, the bits are great and didn’t dull off in hardened steel after multiple holes very happy
