The system itself appears to be of good quality and was not difficult to install. The manual on the other hand was not good. There was no template included as stated in the manual, parts misidentified and poor, confusing English.

Bought this last month for my son’s boat. He swapped his 125hp which had a single cable steering with a 150hp that wouldn’t work with a single cable. I ordered this one for up to 200hp because it had a solid rod that passed thru the tube on the motor. Installation was really easy, I will say pay attention when assembling the coupling to the hose, when screwing the fitting thru the coupling don’t let the hose turn it will want to unscrew from the coupling. But we had no leaks, bleeding wasn’t as bad as everyone said it would be. Works great, easy easy to steer. Really impressed with my purchase. I read a bunch of reviews some negative some positive, I have nothing but positive things to say. Installed this on his boat and went to South Louisiana for 5 days fishing and the steering worked flawlessly. I would definitely purchase again. For the price you can’t beat it. Just take your time during the assembly process and you won’t have any problems.

Purchased for my boat hydraulic steering. Hoses worked perfectly and were an excellent upgrade from my cable steering. High quality product.

The install was pretty straightforward. I experienced more trouble removing the old steering. I had to get an engine hoist to remove the motor from the boat in order to get the old cable out of the tilt tube. Pay attention to the directions regarding the 10 degree max helm angle when bleeding the lines. It took 25” of cribbing under the trailer jack to get the front end of the boat up high enough. I used a 3 ton jack stand on the trailer tongue when adding layers of cribbing. I can now use 1 finger with my PROV150 in gear, at idle, and go lock to lock in a few seconds. It makes launching and loading so much easier.
