This distillation kit is well worth the price! Minor imperfections like pock marks or stress lines. I will be contacting vevor for a bubble in the boiling flask, but, overall the entire set up is worth it. Vevor is providing a footing for a entry level extractor to begin their craft. Thanks vevor!

Would have loved to give this 5 stars, but the hot plate would not get hot enough to function properly, we had to buy an actual cooking hot plate and use the instead. Then the apparatus worked quite well. Note, be careful how much water pressure you use through the tubes to cool the condenser, the surgical style tubing pop’s off very easy, we had to use different tubing and hose clamps. Aside from that, it’s a fun little unit for very small projects.

Insgesamt üppig ausgestattet und für diejenigen die keinen Heizpilz haben ist auch eine Ceranplatte dabei. Bei Lieferung Hatten ein paar Teile Qualitätsprobleme, wie Spannungsrisse und einen eierförmigen Normschliff. Allerdings wurden die betroffenen Teile anstandslos ersetz (Danke nochmal an das Support Team). Das Set tut was Es soll.

I'm new to making hydrosols and distillates and this set did not disappoint (for clarification, I purchased the 2000 ml set). The glass is sturdy and well made. The protective packaging insured that every piece arrived completely intact. The price is amazing. However, the electric plate that came with the set, while rated for 1500 watts, lacked enough umph to bring the water to temp. It didn't produce a single drop of distillate. I believe it's perhaps too large to concentrate the heat under the flask. Once I purchased a better quality electric plate, I was able to consistently produce ample hydrosol. The set arrives with hosing but does not include a water pump which is needed. Sadly, there are no proper instructions on how to assemble the rig and the schematic that's included is incorrect. The smaller 500 ml rig arrives with a conical separatory funnel but it's not included in the larger 2000 set. It would be great if the funnel, the water pump and a stronger electric plate were included in an add on set that could be purchased separately.

Pretty cool for what it is, came with one broken dropper vial and the hotplate burned out after like total 20 hours of use, which is admittedly on me because i was pushing it for 10 hours with few breaks, otherwise mad good kit for the price so long as you know you need to be gentle with the glassware! totally worth the cash money.

Adquirí recientemente el producto para mi mujer y cumple con todas las expectativas. Quitando que el hornillo emite demasiado humo y la calidad de los artículos (sobretodo los matraces) suelen ser de gama media, es muy buena adquisición para montar un laboratorio casero de cosmética. Lo recomendaría sin dudarlo.

It's a good alternative to start with if you already don't have access to, and are familiar with glass lab equipment and want to be more comforted using these type of lab equipment. If you already have, it's a good opportunity to get spares and some new specific parts. This connexion gives an excellent opportunity to test some other variations of this extraction technique. In order to develop the kit one step forward, it would improves if there also is some smaller alternatives to the one 2 liter reactor vessel, say 0.5 and 1 liter with the same adapters, to bye separately or extending the kit with, in order to give some alternative to steam distillate smaller quantities of bio mass. From a kit developing perspective there should also be a possibility to separately by specific spares to the kit, specially those parts that are unique for this kit and technique. Regarding the quality there have been an issue with one of the specific parts in my kit, but Vevor customer support has so fare acted very professional in order to correct this issue. It's taken some time, but that's fine due to all circumstances and concerned involved. It's also wort mentioning that the kit has an excellent packing solution, good firm outer carton and inside a long life, shock absorbing material, hold tight and protecting all parts during the transport and storing, when they not are in use.

Glassware was basically of good quality, but of a much lighter gauge than proper labware. This is slightly problematic when it comes to following standardised reactions and assessing time and temperature, which can affect absolutely everything when one is used to heavier borosilicate glassware. Just be mindful.
