I've used this little guy with my knife working and with some brass working. It is well worth the money especially if you are starting out and don't have a large budget for a bigger anvil.

Literary rough around the edges. If you can`t grind it to usable condition, and need edges to do work, don`t buy it. Main advantage - real hard face. But horn is soft and this is disappointment in general, but ok for my particular use. Hardy hole need some attention to be usable. DIY friendly, not out-of-the-box use supported.

Amazing! It arrived on the very same date the Vevor said it would arrive. That's 23rd of December, as a Christmas gift! Well packaged, and they brought it up the stairs in well strapped plywood box (which was not necessary). There are slight cast imperfections on one side of the anvil; though, I have no complaints whatsoever for the price they charged! And the pritchel hole has been moved half way to be flash with the working face, as far as I can tell, it is an improvement. Thanks and Merry Christmas to Vevor team!

I was looking to get into blacksmithing, and was having trouble finding an anvil. Finally I came across this one and just went for it. I have had it for a year now, and have put it thru the paces. The o ly thing I will say is dress it when you get it and file the hardy hole to clean it up. I built a wood mount and also mounted it on silicon to dampen the ring. Also tip if you buy…..rr spike shanks work perfectly for quick hardy tools. Just cut the head off and weld on whatever you need.
