Fit my 20-yr old garage door. Easy installation. Good replacement for the original hardware for a good seal.

I had a u shape VEVOR seal on the bottom of the garage door for about 8 years. The door received abuse and the ends of the seal wear not holding up as well as before. After seeing the new design with the O Ring, I had to make the move to replace the old one. The new one conforms better to the variances of the concrete slab, that it is needing repair. I took the bottom rail off to make the install easier. Pulling the old one off and cleaning the tracks really helped. Spraying with soapy water made the pull and push on effort work better.

My poor old door seals on my garage doors have been junk for year., I saw these on the Vevor website and they where half the price of what it is at my local hardware store, so I thought it was worth the gamble. I am going to warn you that installing these seals is a two person job. My wife and I and plenty of soapy water in a spray bottle managed to slide the seal into the track on the bottom of the door but I had to remove the bottom door panel to be able to manage it. The seal stretches as your sliding it in the track so before trimming it to length let the seal rest and contract so you don’t trim it too short. Use plenty of soapy water to make the seal slide easier. As I pulled the seal the length of the door my wife guided into the track so it didn’t slip out of the grooves. Expect a forearm workout installing the seal and without soapy water it would be nearly impossible to do. We are extremely pleased with the performance of the seal so far, for years rain water would come in the garage every time it rain, so far we have had several thunderstorms with high winds and we have a dry garage for the first time in years, it seals better than when our doors where new.

Il prodotto risulta molto buono e di buon pregio. Il montaggio è abbastanza semplice, grazie alle guide in alluminio in dotazione. Il prodotto è consigliato per basculante tipo capannoni a tipo tapparella. Nel mio caso ho dovuto modificarlo per adattarlo al mio, tagliando a metà la guarnizione, e questo porta un vantaggio al mio caso… 1- In caso dovessi cambiare la guarnizione per usura, avrei già l’altra metà a disposizione. 2- Aggiungendo l’articolo come nel mio caso, bisogna mettere in conto il peso. Anche se sembra di no, tirando su il basculante (manualmente nel mio caso) se non si aggiungono dei contrappesi in più, il basculante tende a chiudersi. Nel mio caso sono in linea neutro. 3- Anche se avete il basculante motorizzato dovete mettere in conto di questo, in caso dovreste usare il sbocco manuale del motore se si rompe. La negatività per questo articolo è che non ho trovato la vendita delle guide da sole, o per lo meno una configurazione che faceva al mio caso. Spendere altri 30/40€ per una guarnizione che c’è e la vendono, non mi pare il caso. Comunque il prodotto lo consiglio.
