I've been putting off buying one of these things for years because I'm cheap. I have an extension set of taps and diesel but in some applications using a tap or die can adversely affect fit of the tread by removing material, a chasing set doesn't tend to do that in most cases.

This is a very complete set of thread chasers for both internal and external threads. The finish on all the components is very good. I have needed this kit only one time but that was for an oddball bolt which at least had a standard metric thread. I had one shot to get the battered threads pushed back into place and this chaser did the job.
Would recommend this for purchase.
