Beware before you buy and make sure you have plenty of PVC tape to secure the spout and temperature gauge. It leaks pretty bad on its own without any support. Works perfectly once I put the tape on.

FIRST Go buy thick teflon tape. Heat water in pan and check for leaks. As soon as it got close to a boil it started a slow drip. Had to tighten the crap out of ball value fitting. The through fitting on the pan itself needs to be as tight as possible. False bottom is way too high. After pan was tilted it left about a pint behind.

Material looks weird for stainless steel ... May be mostly build in aluminium

It was to hard to put together, seals would not work properly

La cuve est très correcte avec un bon fond. Mais la tôle percée du fond filtrant est de très mauvaise qualité. Elle griffe la cuve lorsqu'on la descend, de plus elle n'est pas assez rigide et s’adapte mal dans le renfoncement circulaire prévu pour la soutenir. Il faudrait une grille plus rigide avec des pieds. En résumé, c'est une bonne cuve pour l’ébullition, mais pas du tout pour l’empâtage.

Do not hesitate purchasing this if you are looking for a quality piece for home brewing. Update: although the quality is very good the drain port is way to high from the bottom of the kettle. In addition, the internal filter plate sits a third of the way up in the kettle making the space below worthless for cooking grain. The kettle actually holds 4.75 gallon NOT 5 gallon. I will update my rating to 3 star. If your going to build something build it right.

If you put 16 gal you will literally will be at edge almost dripping I didn’t even attempt to put 15 gal, I only put 14gal. The gage does not read accurate either. I won’t buy this again
