Distilled water for cpap
Works to produce distilled water for cpap. Received tank leaked from day one, emailed with no zero response. Otherwise works well.

For the money it’s hard to beat
I’ve been using this distiller for a few weeks now without issue. I use a quick vinegar and water boil to clean it after each use (our tap water is so heavy) and have found it runs like clockwork, almost 4 hours per gallon. I will probably upgrade to a glass pitcher at some point, but have been operating it with only the included parts with no issues. Assuming everything continues to work as it has, I imagine it will work for years with minimal maintenance.

I like it
I'm a CPAP user so need distilled water. I have seen stores out of it. Now I make my own. It's easy and quite user friendly. The possibility of being out of the water I need to get a good night's sleep is behind me now.

Bought unit after seeing many similar across internet search. Price was good and my experience with Vevor has been good, too. Distiller is well built with SS interior & hard plastic exterior. Slim, half-moon handle on top to use carrying around. Top third comes off & is the chiller for the vapor. Bottom holds a bit over a gallon of water. Have used 3 times for new humidifier. Fill to line on side of SS bottom. The top sits on the top edge of the bottom with a gasket pressing down into a groove to seal the two parts together. Easy going on BUT not after a session. I have had to be careful in leveraging the top from the bottom as the two fit tight together and nothing on the top outside to push or pull on with force to separate. I assume it’s the inside having a partial vacuum or the gasket is wedged. Tried the handle the first two times but couldn’t get a good grip before I worried it would break off. Ended up with fingers pressing up and across the top on the side of the top and wiggling it too. Once the gasket starts to flex the top came off easily using the handle. The top is @ 2/3 the weight of the unit. Other than the difficulty in removing the top I am pleased with the unit. It takes over an hour to distill @ 1 gallon of water. The motor runs a fan but is not noisy.

Works Great
I've been using this unit almost continuously for the last month to make distilled water for an ultrasonic humidifier. After one week I chose to power it through a Nearpow digital outlet timer to avoid using the integral high-temperature safety shut-off switch as an operating control, mostly because I don't wish to bake deposits onto the bottom of the water chamber. Lack of any type of low water level operating control is the only reason I gave "Features" only 4 stars, but I'm still a happy camper. I'm guessing a low price point prompted this choice. It takes 4 hours and 8 minutes to make one gallon from tap water, starting with a water level midway between the embossed upper and lower fill lines, and leaving about a quarter inch of water at the bottom at timed shut-off. Though deposits are rather minimal and it's probably overkill, I still clean this chamber after each use by boiling a 7.5% citric acid solution (made from crystals) for 20 minutes, with the condensing coil / fan assembly replaced by a square of tin foil to minimize heat-up time. The water chamber still looks brand new. I make distilled water on the kitchen counter of my open floor plan house so that rejected heat is returned to occupied space, thus reducing furnace run-time a little but. The fan is certainly not quiet, but I don't find it to be objectionable. Some probably would. I'd rather maximize efficiency by usefully reclaiming the heat. Removing the condensing coil / fan assembly is a bit of a challenge because the seal to the water chamber is a tight fit. My method basically involves bear-hugging the water chamber with one arm while lifting off the upper assembly with the other. Beware, though, because it would be easy to burn yourself with steam if the unit hadn't been left to cool first. With four decades of experience in mechanical engineering and HVAC equipment of all types, I am impressed with the quality, functionality and price of this device. Well done.
