Aside from the scales and control unit being shipped separately by different parties, this was well packaged and exactly as expected. The scale bracket slots are too big for the scews supplied and you need to do some utube research to clarify assembly and see options for use of brackets and fit to various machines, as the instructions are the usual minimal and cryptic chinglish. Careful alignment and set up result in a great system that works well, is easy to read and does everything you need. Fitted to my Bridgeport clone over a weekend - the longest time was spent planning drilling and tapping the 18 holes required.

This unit is great. The scales are quality with dual lip seals and are identical (as far as I can see) to many other brands, some of which cost 2x or more. The installation brackets and fasteners offer good installation flexibility but are unlikely to be all you need. I think most people modify them or make their own. I did a combination. The head unit has lots of useful features and seems well made. I'm really pleased. I have a Bridgeport mill and shortened the 10" scale to use for the quill (all custom brackets), used the 20" scale for the knee Z, and bought an additional (different but compatible brand on eBay) 16" scale for the Y axis. I'm making my own summing board for the two Z axes, based on a microcontroller development board. In the meantime I'll only use one Z sensor at a time. I've ordered a second one of these for my lathe.

Great product! With a few mounting modifications, I successfully installed the linear scales and digital readout. My only suggestion to the manufacturer would be to have the on/off switch relocated from the rear of the unit to the front or side of the digital readout.

this product fit my device really well. the package it came in was good and the product arrived intact. installation was relatively easy
