Vacuum Seal Everything…
Vacuum Seal Everything… 5
I’ve used the vacuum sealer for about a month, vacuum sealing both bags and wide mount mason jars. I know certain feedback says you can’t use jars, but they may be referring to how some vacuum sealers have a jar attachment. If you put short wide mouth jars inside with the lid loose on top, you can seal four jars with the “riser” insert removed. I’ve been using this machine to vacuum seal meats and homemade dog food with success. The machine is not complicated to use. My only wish is that Vevor had an upgrade kit to make use of their dual seal option, since I think they are reusing a button control module from another machine that has that feature. I don’t know if having a dual seal would really be practical, but I’m OCD enough that I want that button to do something. Time will tell how robust the unit is, but a quick look inside leads me to believe it’s a fairly simple standard vacuum pump setup (like the vacuum pump an AC man would use on a home HVAC condenser).

Finally have a REAL vacuum sealer!
Finally have a REAL vacuum sealer! 5 Finally have a REAL vacuum sealer! 5 Finally have a REAL vacuum sealer! 5
It's big (compared to my old Food Saver - also, see photo compared to a Weber Smokey Joe grill), it's heavy, it's AWESOME!! I love the very simple control panel on the front, with individual controls for vacuum, sealing, and cooling. No messing with option buttons or accidentally changing the wrong thing. The big on/off breaker-style switch on the side is easy and durable. The metal spacer plate is handy for getting most bags to line up nicely with the sealing bar, particularly when sealing up cuts of meat. If doing soups/sauces/liquids, removing it gives you some peace of mind about the bag contents not flowing out while it vacuums. What REALLY surprised me was that it not only shipped with a bottle of vacuum pump oil, but the pump itself came pre-filled too! I took the back plate off to fill it (having also bought a bottle of vacuum pump oil separately since the product description said oil wasn't included) and was very surprised to see oil already within the fill lines. Shipping was super fast, and I had my unit in just a few days. I was worried that I may have chosen the wrong product for my needs, but I've been sealing up a storm since I got it and it's not only far quieter than the old screaming Food Saver, but it is SUPER consistent at removing all of the air and leaving me with a thick, high quality seal on the bags. The Vevor DZ-260C is my go-to recommendation to anyone looking for a good mid-size vacuum chamber sealer. Yeah, it's a lot more of an investment than the little consumer edge sealers, but they do NOT do the same job as this! It's fantastic for your normal home uses. The only thing I'm finding more challenging than expected is getting chamber BAGS in Canada! All sorts of the edge-sealer types with the air channels, but the smooth chamber-only bags? Yikes. It's tough. Most of what I can find is actually imported from the US. I've managed to find pint and quart size bags, but gallon or larger are rare beasts. (Could be a lucrative market in Canada for those, Vevor!!)

Insane for the price

We use this in a commercial application, aka running it for many hours straight day in and day out. We are probably only a month or so into owning this, but it delivers a perfect seal every.single.time. On a very difficult thing to seal (highly viscous and thick food product). Other things we love: it’s not a dry pump. Yes you have to load it with oil to start using it and occasionally replace with new oil, but this should ensure a longer life for the pump over a dry pump. Liquid pumps are also more powerful. Not sure when we will have to replace the oil but after probably a 1000 seals or so the oil level and color is unchanged from day one. It’s quiet. Not silent by any stretch, but more quiet than the clamp style vacuum sealers like a Food Saver. It’s got good menu options so you can further dial in your operation. For us, we are sealing the same exact product every single time, so we have been able to pinpoint the exact timing needed to seal our product without excess pump time. If this thing lives for years, we are basically stealing it. Even if it lived only for a year, it would probably still be worth it over the much more expensive ones. But the build quality, and simplicity, tell me that this thing might live much much longer than that. Very impressed so far!!

Currently working as it’s supposed too. Sealed meats, spices and liquids well. Directions were simple. Adding oil was simple. Very heavy. Spare teflon tape. Spare heat strip. Fits nicely on my Vevor 24x24x32 stainless table. So far I’m very pleased!

This camber vacuum is everything I was hoping. It was shipped in a very secure box and was in perfect condition upon delivery. The price is the best around on comparable chamber vacuums. This machine has worked flawlessly for me and I highly recommend this unit if you are undecided. It is made of nice stainless steel and is very good quality construction. You can see the picture of a 16 oz plastic drink bottle I sealed as a test. Wow is all I can say!

Worth the money to upgrade from food saver

This vacuum sealer does everything the video shows. Plenty of room for chicken quarters and roasts. I've been using the non-chambered vacuum sealers for years and while they work good, you can't seal anything that is really juicy or liquid. I love being able to vacuum cooked beans, vegetables, left overs, etc. Clean up is so much quicker. I haven't had anything spill inside the chamber.

To begin with, it seems like all the reviews here (85 at the time of posting) are for every vacuum sealer Vevor sells or has sold in the past all lumped together, not the specific model you may think you are reading about. This review is specifically for the DZ-260C with the larger 320 x 10 mm sealing bar purchased in early 2023. The item came well packaged in a double wall cardboard box. The box had some questionable damage, but the unit inside was just fine. As far as the “2-day Free Delivery” goes, that really does not exist unless you live close by. In fact, I ordered my unit on a Saturday morning and it didn’t leave Vevor until the following Thursday. (Even though they printed the UPS Ground shipping label on Tuesday and told me it shipped, it in fact sat in their warehouse and left on Thursday, 5 days after the order.) The unit arrived at my USA home on Tuesday, 10 days after the order was placed, 5 days sitting in the warehouse and another 5 days in UPS Ground transit from CA to AL. The oil provided with the unit smells rancid, and that rancid smell emits from the unit whenever it is used, even when filled to the lower side of half to 3/4 of the fill sight window, both my wife and I agreed to move the unit out of the kitchen due to the awful smell when used. The fresh oil in the bottle smells rancid, as does the used oil. After I ran the unit several times as a break in, I changed out that rancid factory oil with some ISO100 synthetic pump oil, and the smell is much better, not completely gone, but much better and tolerable. You can see in the picture how dark the factory oil got from just 7 or 8 individual uses, about 5 minutes of total run time. New factory oil on right, used on the left. I sent this info to Vevor along with several pictures, and they said the oil and smell were normal. Beyond the shipping and oil issue, the unit has been running fine in the couple weeks we have owned it, all the internals were inspected when I first put the oil in, and everything was tight, it pulls a good vacuum and generally functions very well. Some of the models being sold by other companies (seems all chamber vacs are made in China even if sold by American companies) have a marinade function button, this one can be used the same way if you just set the sealing time to 0.0, so don’t let that deter you. If you are wondering about sealing mason jars, I can fit 4 of the 16oz pint jars in mine, these are the fat squatty wide mouth pint jars about 3.75” tall, not the standard thinner taller ones, those won’t fit. They were really available at my local walmart. We shop in bulk and I’m looking forward to upping my freezer game with this device, so far I like it, just had to get past the initial hurdles, and hope it lasts a good long time since support and repair parts may be an issue if/when needed. If not, it’s still half to a third the cost of comparable units, so even if it needed to be replaced after the 1yr warranty, I’d still be ahe
