Good product for the price. Cuts metal good. It says it will cut round stock up to 1/2" but unfortunately it will not.

Works well on 20ga without excessive effort. Capable of 16ga but it takes some muscle to cut. Cuts are straight and the frame and blade seem to be very solid. A laser guide would be handy for aligning cuts where the sheet is longer than the blade. Overall very satisfied

Thought I'd throw out a review, though tool was not tested by fire. This guillotine metal shear will cut paper and cardboard with scissor-like precision. I think I read it is capable of 1/4" steel but you might have to fill your pockets with rocks to have force to pull handle that hard. I'm not attempting anything so ambitious. I need it to cut small rectangles of thin but rigid sheet metal to make hidden hold down clips to install vertical shadow rib siding. Expect shear to do this without complaint. Will need to mount to stable surface that will resist a fair amount of torque to keep from doing a back flip.

I purchased this item to destroy the discs in the mechanical Hard Disc Drives from computers. It does the job well but the only problem is that it is too heavy to move it around. I ordered the 8 inch shear cutter. Would have ordered the smaller one instead. Item made of high quality material.

always wanted and needed one of these but bring myself to buy one because the ones I've seen were more than I wanted to spend. this tool is great. Checked the adjustment of it and cut 4 pcs of 21/2"x3/16 flat bar, it sliced almost like frozen butter. LOVE it.

We bought this unit for cutting small diameter flat bars and rounds. As long as we keep the material to .125" or less if gives us a pretty good edge we can work with. I wish the handle was sturdier as that looks like the piece we will end up modifying.
