Works very well and very powerful especially for the price. Keeps two large pigs contained, so they can do their job fertilizing and tilling our future vegetable garden area.

This is my third Vevor 3j fence energizer. I use to use one of those super expensive monster energizers to light up the whole farm. Now I have broken up the fencing into multiple sectors with a separate Vevor energizer on each and I’m very happy with the results. As we rotate cattle and sheep through the paddocks I can unplug those sections that are not being used. This makes it much easier to work on fencing or fields without being shocked while the livestock remains in fields where the fence is hot. All at a fraction of the price of my old monster energizers. Great product!

nice unit easy to use

The joule ratings can be accurate. It’s a nice energizer with lots of features, but I don’t believe it’s over 3 J. The alarm is way too sensitive and won’t hook it up because of it, takes a while to figure it out. Appears to be consistent on voltage where I can’t get near the readings that it says it is, my old energizer was exact. I just moved it to a different vaccinated one to take its place. One thing I do wish it had is a pulse light

We have an excess amount of black and grizzly bears where we live. So we have to have electric fences around our chicken coops and our beehive. I got this electric fence charger so that I could have a separate one for the beehive. We are running a high tensile Steel seven wire alternating hot wire setup. Three grounding rods and the whole game. Got done installing the fence, hooked up the fence controller, and wasn't watching what I was doing. Needless to say I got lit up by it. After I regained my mind, the wife had told me that I made a sound resembling a small woodland animal getting run over. It was according to her " a sound unlike any that a full grown human being should be capable of making". I have been hit by our 1.6 Jouke Gallagher 7000 volt set up on our chicken coop numerous times. While not pleasant, it is not like the true 10,000 volt one joule force of Satan ripping through me that this one provides. Granted they are slightly different fence setups but man this one will mess you up! I tested it with our fence tester and it is a true 10,000 volts and judging by the fact that it took me about an hour to stop salivating uncontrollably I would guess it is right around one Joule. On a side note are small dog also got to experience the electrified hell that this thing is capable of administering. Both of us fully agree and can understand why a 700 lb grizzly bear would be deterred by such a thing. Not sure how long this will last but hopefully a while. We are running it solely on 120 AC.
