The hose and reel seem like good quality. The extra handle works well. I have a competitors reel for my backyard and I must say the retraction on this is painful. I understand having a slow retraction so the hose and handle don’t slam into anything, but I have to guide the hose back by hand otherwise the retraction stops completely. I looked at the instructions and insured that the water was turned off and open on the end so less water is in the reel. Doesn’t make a difference. Still a very slow retraction where I have to guide it back.

Worked great for a while then tension got very weak and then the spring broke, so no way of recoiling the hose.

Unscrew the nozzle it came with and put in the other in the box and the end of the hose came lose and now it is stuck on there and I cannot screw it off. It also leaks. So I am going to have to cut the end off and put and new end on it and try to get the other end out of the nozzle that it’s stuck in

Poor hose and nozzle design. Leaked and then could not get it off to replace parts to seal .

Ni e reel ery cheap hose

At first this hose reel seemed great however it is all ready broken. Internally it has come apart on the retraction part. It is all plastic and not really fit for everyday use.

Out of the box it appears to be just what you want. It is pretty stiff and pulling it out the hose takes some power but overall it works well. Maybe 2 to 6 months later it isn't retracting all the way. Then it starts retracting less and less. You try and fix it so you pull it out further and now it retracts back maybe 10 to 15 feet and your left with this hose hanging out. That's my story with two of them. Vevor was good in replacing the first one that stopped retracting. The 2nd one stopped retracting even faster. In other words it is a piece of junk in the end!

needed a hose that would go longer than standard 100 ft. this one does that but the flow is about 40% of a regular hose.

Low quality product. I’m hoping it will last a couple years. Support is weak. It took me 8 or 10 emails and 2 weeks to get an answer to a very simple question. I’m not sure after all the back forth they actually understood my question. I’m just very disappointed in this product and this company.

Low rating due to the mounting hardware being complete junk!, first the plastic inserts provided, Yes I said plastic, for the lag screws are metric and of course the SAE drills are different, seemed to mount up secure until my wife tried to recoil the hose after the first use and the hose reel assembly came out of the brick wall. the plastic inserts still gripping the lag screws but not the brick. Used pliers and the appropriate wrench to remove the plastic inserts from the lag screws which still held tight. Ended up purchasing 1/2 inch x 3 concrete inserts for the holes that I drilled and reattaching the hose reel. Vevor should have included the correct lag screw system for this item load . The 1/2 hose reel that this replaces had a correct concrete lag screw inserts but yet Vevor chose a cheap fastening method. VEVOR do better technical research when providing mounting hardware. Not sure if I will recommend any more Vevor products to friends going forward. A 1/2 inch hose reel gets metal wall fasteners but a larger 5/8" unit gets plastic you figure it out!!!
