I was extremlly happpy with the reel set...i did not make it live althought it had the capability to and it looked very well done. i use the jumper method ,so reel is not live as a requimnt of some of my work places...just use a jumper rig and it is so quck and easy to do my setups now...you have choice for either setup..

Great product worked perfectly for my set up. I wish they had a left side and a right side option. Other than thats very happy with the the reel set up.

I bought these reels for my service truck because they looked great and the price was hard to beat. Installation was straightforward, and at first I was really happy with them.
The problem is the plastic spacers between the reels. I hooked everything up and started welding, and before long the plastic spacers started melting and smoking. A customer actually had to tell me my truck looked like it was on fire. The welding leads got hot enough that the plastic melted, causing everything to bind up in the middle of a job. To make matters worse, it also triggered a reverse polarity error on my Miller Trailblazer. I ended up taking everything apart on-site, removing the melted plastic, and eventually had to bypass the reels completely by wiring my leads directly to the welder just to finish the job.
It turned into a huge headache on a customer’s site.
Other than that, I actually like the reels. They look great, feel well built, and the price was good. I just don’t understand how they’re expected to be used for welding with plastic spacers between them where heat is inevitable.
I’m hoping the manufacturer can offer a solution, whether that’s a refund or a replacement with a version that uses metal spacers or a stacked design that doesn’t have this issue
