This thing works but yes it does have a small catch basin just as described. But for the little amount of dirt that gets in her pool, it works great for our small pool

Will Fantastic gadget
Not worth putting waste out of the pool every few days to clean the bottom. We have a sand filter and the first bit of algae gets blown around the pool every time. This little gadget has saved a lot of time and energy. Easy to get sand bugs and dropped algae off the bottom effortlessly. If you're looking at a spa or a smaller pool it would take no time at all. We have a 26 ft round pool and I spend 5 minutes before the kids get in cleaning. Never had a cleaner pool then this year

Liam Good for small jobs
98 L/min 40 W
Great little pool hoover good for sucking up debris at the bottom of the pool. Gets clogged quickly but you need to just change the little socks that come with it. They are washable and reusable

tblakely.mail Good while it worked, then dead.
When it worked, it was ok. Did the job. However, it died just after a year. Just after the warranty ran out, it stopped turning on. Got just over a years worth of use then dead.
