Brianne S. Detailing business owner and full time RV'er
For a portable system it does a good job. It's heavy but durable. It's easily connected and the supplied parts are of good quality. Definitely doesn't leave a spot free finish, but I live in Indiana where the water is extraordinarily hard. Make sure you regenerate often. At about .$0.63 a container for iodized table salt, $1.26 every month isn't a wallet squeeze so the half hour or so it takes to do it is well worth the benefits to do it once a month or so. I've noticed a large reduction in calcium build up on my faucets and sinks in the RV, my hair feels softer and soap actually suds now! I connected an in-line sediment filter just before the unit and a charcoal filter on the other side and have good tasting water in the trailer. For detailing work, I still need to squeegee or wipe down a surface but if it dries on it is easily removed now, whereas I would need a chemical to remove water spots prior to its use. All in all it's a good unit and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a portable unit.

Shane Broussard Be careful
The small hose end clamps don’t hold. Both ends came off and flooded the lot. Had to put hose clamps on both sides to get it to work.

Brian Terrible
Both sides leak non stop right out of the box. Tried teflon tape and put new rubber washers in. After messing with this, it also completely ruined my new fresh water hose. At no point did this work!!!

RAM Water has Horrible Taste and Smell
This doesn't even deserve one, due to the horrible taste and smell which occurred after using this water softener. We were concerned, the water might make us sick. Food prepared with the water sofener water was inedible.
Want to return item. Awaiting a return call from customer service.
