I rent and have a one car garage that is on the larger side. I can’t drill holes, I don’t have 220 or gas in there. I had a ventless propane heater for several years but the amount of condensation I got in that garage after a day of running that thing was insane, to boot there was always that smell to go along with it. After seeing people brag about these things on the tikytoks and dealing with a variant of them on semis for the last 20 years I decided to give one a go. I didn’t know if I wanted to place the unit inside or outside so I put the unit together and ran it for a bit. I does make some noise especially on high so I decided to put the unit outside. After figuring out how to seal my garage door (4X6 and hole saw) I fired it up and let it rip. It was 8 degrees outside and it took about 3-3/4 hours to get it to 60 degrees. After a couple times of this I decided this wasn’t fast enough for my impatience. I ordered up a second one, picked up a 3” dryer vent hose and routed to the front of my garage. With both ripping my garage was at 62 in a little over an hour. At an hour and a half I turned them down to the second speed and they maintained 65 degrees, perfect for me to tinker around on the car in a t-shirt. Nice cheap dry heat. And they are easy to set up. I didn’t have an leaks, and these things seem like they are built well for the price. Overall I’m a happy camper.
