DRILLING HOLES MAG DRILL
THE PRICE POINT IS NICE. THE MAGNET SHOULD BE STRONGER. IT DID LIFT TWICE WHILE DRILLING THREW 3/16 PLATE STEEL. AFTER 14 HOLES THE 16MM ANNUALAR BIT BECAME DULL AND NOW SKIPS. WILL BE USEING MORE ONCEI REPLACE THE 16MM BIT.

Matt Good drill for the price
Seems to be a quality product for the price. I had to run a thread chaser through the threads on the rack shaft for the handles to be able to thread in, but other than that it was easy to assemble out of the box.

At first glance it looks stable and well built, but after about 40 drilled holes with diameters of 28mm and 30mm in 15mm thick iron there are doubts.
The speed control is very unstable and varies greatly on its own at low speeds. But worse is that the sled is loose in the guide rail and there is no adjustment option for this. This means that the precision of the drill hole placement is not up to standard and that the drill wobbles on the surface of the workpiece.
Otherwise it works as expected.

Easy to use.
2" in steel is pushing it, probably stick to 1" max as the motor doesn't have enough torque.
Great value for the price.
Magnet is not stafe and doesn't stick well for larger bits - use a clamp as safety

Works good for the price. There is a little head wobble when starting the hole that is my only complaint. Drilled 36 one inch holes so far with it.
