Better than cast iron. Not as good as a high end Anvil, but that is not what you are paying for. I would have no problem recommending this Anvil for other hobbyists.

Got this guy an a clearance sale. Wasn't exactly what I expected but I knew going into it that I would have to do a little work to it. The anvil is great but the horn needed some work before I could use it. I expected to grind off the paint on the horn and make it smooth but as I was grinding it revealed some minor casting issues(surface cracks). I ended up just grinding a little more than I expected. It cleaned up completely. I also expected the horn to be more round, less egg shaped. I did what I could to round it out better and in the end it worked out because I was cleaning the surface cracks out anyway. This is a good anvil that will just need a little finishing work to make it a great anvil. Expected to grind the horn clean. That being said don't let that stop you from this deal.

For such a low price of an anvil it was in excellent quality, very satisfied! Will be buying more products from now on!

I have hardly used this "110lb 50kg" (it only weighs 90lbs!) anvil at all, but it's and anvil, what do you expect. sad there's not cut-off table but with the cost of a used anvil only half as good being 3x more, you honestly can not beat this for the price. the face of the anvil is hard as advertised, I measured 50-55 hrc, granted it is not very consistant across the face, i didn't find any straight up soft spots. the crate it shipped in barely held it in, but unless the horn breaks off, who cares. I have to say I am annoyed about the weight being a lie tho.

I am not a blacksmith so spending 1500 for a real anvil was not an option , but could never find a decent size one for the occasional user, until now. They shipped it in a small wooden crate. It is really nice and I have used it many times already for straightening bent tools etc. Just what I needed at a price I could afford.

Excellent starter anvil. The little hammer supplied is a tempo hammer. you use it to test the levels of ringing off your anvil to check for voids. It's also carbon steel (numbers on the head say 1040) so you can test the anvil to "hear" any defects. The blue paint has to come off...but that's normal. the edges were still a little too sharp for me.but easily fixed...the horn has a nice ring to it as well..Hardy hole needs a clean up as does Pritchard hole. ..but great value, great service, great piece of kit. can't wait to move steel....its not an ASO (anvil shaped object) ....ITS AN ANVIL...and great bargain...getting a 10kg for portable work next

I bought this after seeing the prices of original anvils. This one is cast steel which is a step up from my cast iron one. The hardee hole is not 25 mm as advertised so not sure if I am going to open it up or leave it as is yet. The horn is a bit of larger diameter also but I can work with it. Overall good solid anvil and much cheaper alternative than and original forged one.

En verdad es una belleza de yunque. Es robusto, con excelente diseño y muy práctico. De hoy en adelante será una de mis herramientas favoritas. Claro que me ayudará mucho en mis proyectos. En cuanto al precio imposible conseguirlo más barato. Además de que la entrega fue súper rápida.
