Honest Opinion Best Starter Still
It is an excellent way to learn about distillation. It has been a fascinating way to explore the hobby and gather information on the process. I don't think there is a better way to get started than this set up. You're not going to be James Beam but you will enjoy where the journey takes you. I am glad I purchased this unit and I can recommend it to anyone who is interested in distillation. For the money this item cannot be beat. Get one for yourself, I highly recommend it.

Overall the materials used to construct the still and the included parts make this a very good buy. However - the instruction book is terrible. It looks like a bad photocopy from a 1980's vintage copier. The parts are not all labeled and there is not a lot of instruction on how to assemble it. I was left to doing research on YouTube and other places to figure out what all the parts are used for and how to assemble them.
The recipes in the book don't have a lot of detail either, and the instructions are not explained very well for someone that is new to distilling.

Great little distiller - makes good wine, distills water in no time, retains heat, pretty straight forward. Found many practical uses for the pot too.

Great beginner still. Stainless steel is a little thin and can start to burn mash but thumper is a great addition.

Some pipe connections were leaking so i changed to better sealant and now it works perfect.
Very easy to use and i even tried to use it outside over open fire just for fun and that actually was no problem at all.
